Blockchain-based payment service Slash Payment has announced the support of Oasys, a game-optimized blockchain, to bring easier payment systems to the Web 3 gaming space. According to the team statement, the latest strategic partnership with Oasys will allow gamers to make payments within the game using Oasys’ native token, $OAS.
Businesses and enterprises that wish to make payments using $OAS will need to complete the Know-Your-Business (KYB) procedures by directly applying on the Slash Payments website.
Oasys became the latest blockchain to join Slash Payment, expanding the payment support across nine different blockchains, which helps projects diversify their payment methods for their users.
Since its launch, Oasys has built a game-optimized blockchain, offering users a highly scalable Layer 1 gaming hub and a specialized Layer 2 platform, leveraging Ethereum’s scaling solutions. The ecosystem provides game developers with a secure and scalable blockchain infrastructure for creating more efficient, secure, and interoperable games. Notwithstanding, Oasys has welcomed some of the biggest gaming developers as validators on its platform, including SEGA, Ubisoft, and Yield Guild Games.
Before the full launch of Slash Payments on Oasys, the gaming blockchain carried out tests across multiple games on the platform, crucially ‘CoinMusme’, a play-to-earn game on the blockchain. Additionally, Oasys added support for the blockchain game wallet, ‘FaceWallet’ to enhance payment across games on the platform.
The collaboration with Slash Payment will expand the payment options across games built on Oasys, allowing gamers to easily make payments and deposits using a wide range of cryptocurrencies. In addition, businesses that have introduced Slash Payment can improve profitability by diversifying payment methods and providing greater convenience to users.
Slash Payment is a decentralized and non-custodial payment gateway that enables merchants and businesses to accept any ERC-20 tokens as payments. With nine blockchains already supported by the platform, the platform was selected as one of the five companies to receive the coveted Uniswap-Arbitrum Grant Program (UAGP), launched in November 2023. Other companies selected in the first cohort of the grant include Revert Finance, Oku, Rabbithole, and Ephema.
The Uniswap-Arbitrum Grant Program is a six-month grant program that aims to help grow projects built across the two blockchains. The grant will foster the technological and developmental growth of the five selected companies, leveraging Uniswap’s allocation of $ARB tokens to enhance the Uniswap ecosystem within the Arbitrum Protocol.
