PlayStation, Shiba Inu Collaborating For New Game? What’s Happening?

Do you remember Humanity, the game from Rez creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s studio Enhance? Well, it’s finally close to launch — and recently became the talk of the town after gaining attention from the SHIB community. While sharing the teaser of an upcoming puzzle game, PlayStation called on gamers to “play as a Shiba Inu,” which certainly provoked various speculations regarding the game and the meme coin.

PlayStation Mentioned “Shiba Inu” in A Tweet; What’s The Catch?

Popular video gaming brand PlayStation recently shared a demo of its highly anticipated Lemmings-like puzzle game, Humanity which is all set to launch in May.

After the tweet, many famous SHIB influencers were found tagging the official Twitter handles of Shiba Inu, Bone ShibaSwap, and Shytoshi Kusama, thinking that the upcoming puzzle game is themed after the cryptocurrency.

But if you notice carefully, the tweet says, You play a Shiba Inu, a dog who places commands to guide human crowds to safety in pillars of light. There’s a 90-level story mode, but this game also allows you to build your own maps to challenge other players. Hence, PlayStation’s mention of “Shiba Inu” is clearly based on the game design and has nothing to do with meme cryptocurrency.

In conclusion, although the upcoming Humanity game is entirely unrelated to meme coin, many investors believe that the recent price rally of SHIB and BONE has something to do with this announcement.

At the time of writing, BONE was trading at a high of $1.95, surging nearly 4% in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, SHIB Price was exchanging hands at $0.00001316, up 1.03%.
