Throughout its ongoing lifecycle, Chainlink has achieved several milestones, some of which are as follows:

• In 2017, Chainlink is officially launched, and the original whitepaper for the project defining it as a centralized Oracle network is published. Chainlink’s co-founders raise $32 million in an ICO for 35% of total LINK supply.
• In June 2019, Chainlink announced a partnership with Oracle to enable projects to monetize Oracle blockchain APIs.
• By October 2019, Chainlink will have secured an alliance with the largest crypto exchange (by market cap), Binance. After the partnership, Chainlink provided data from Binance to other blockchain platforms.
• In August 2020, Everpedia utilized the Chainlink network to publish the results of the 2020 presidential election from the Associated Press.
• In 2020 alone, Chainlink added over 300 projects to its decentralized oracle network and also secured around 70 price feeds.
• By the end of 2020, Chainlink’s Oracle technology will be integrated with Nexo and Crypto.com.
• In April 2021, Chainlink releases its Chainlink 2.0 white paper and highlights its transition from a centralized to a completely decentralized Oracle network.
• Chainlink released a decentralized weather data feed, which came through a Google Cloud partnership, in August 2021. The same year, Chainlink’s year-on-year total value secured grew by over $7 billion.
• In 2021, Chainlink oracles powered around 1,000 projects and several DeFi use cases, such as asset management protocols, insurance platforms, payment networks, prediction markets, DEXs, and algorithmic stablecoins.
• Many global business brands started running their nodes on the Chainlink network, including Amazon Web Services, The Associated Press, Swisscom, and AccuWeather.
• In 2022, Chainlink received recognition from Bank of America as a key driver that brought growth to DeFi’s total locked volume.
• In November 2022, Chainlink partnered with SWIFT, an interbank messaging system connecting banks and enabling cross-border payments.
