Ripple Completes 5 Years Of Global XRPL Research Program

Crypto Market News: The University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) by Ripple was launched around five years ago to support academic research, technical development and innovation in blockchain and crypto. Accordingly, the UBRI made a $50M philanthropic commitment to leading universities around the world. As part of the Initiative, participants who conduct research in XRP Ledger (XRPL) are given the XRPL Grants. Overall, the UBRI is one of the strong proponents of academic research in the crypto market ecosystem.

The Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator and Lab for Inclusive FinTech, Wharton Blockchain and Digital Asset Project and IIT Bombay’s Center of Excellence have been incorporated to support blockchain education thanks to the UBRI program. Seven of the world’s top ten university blockchain programs are UBRI partners.

At the core of Ripple’s investments for the future are the partnerships with more than 50 universities across the world. The company said in a statement on the occasion of celebrating five years of the program:

“UBRI has now established more than 50 university partners across six continents, awarded 590 fellowships and scholarships, and supported the publication of over 1,000 research articles and presentations. “

Meanwhile, the XRP token holder community is hopeful of the Summary Judgement delivery in the lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) by the end of 2023. Recently, a top executive at the Bank of America praised Ripple XRP position in the payments space as a “possible exception.”
