Rumble Joins X’s Legal Chronicle Against Media Matters, Escalates Lawsuit

Rumble, an online video platform, recently weighed in its opinion on Media Matters engaging in similar tactics against the platform as it did against X. The statement, released on Wednesday, gained notable global momentum within the media industry as it aligned with the X Corp’s recent legal saga with Media Matters.

Media Matters, a non-profit media group, recently faced a backlash from U.S. regulatory authorities as X filed a lawsuit against the media group.

Furthermore, as per the statement, Rumble appears to have forged ahead with its lawsuit, cracking down on strategies the media group used to bring down media prominencies.

Rumble’s Lawsuit Highlights Unethical Practices

In Rumble’s recent court filings against Media Matters, the online video platform spotlighted the media group’s misleading efforts in capturing ads running next to controversial content. Furthermore, the statement stressed how the non-profit firm refreshed a video over 70 times to find big brand ads running next to it.

Intriguingly, Media Matters deliberately employed a strategy on sites they sought to take down.

The statement further underscores that the media group deliberately created fake profiles on X, navigated to controversial content uploaded by creators, and kept refreshing the video till it could find significant brand ads running next to it.
The unveiling of such an unethical practice orchestrated a ripple effect within the industry, positioning Media Matters as an unjust firm.

Furthermore, another significant media firm, Netflix, ceased its ads-related operations on Rumble in March 2023. This also appears to fall in line with Media Matters’ orchestration, as the media group’s staff reportedly kept refreshing a video on Rumble with antisemitic content till it could find Netflix’s ad running next to it.

Media Matters To Witness Significant Lawsuits

Prior to the lawsuit with Rumble, Media Matters faced heightened scrutiny within the U.S. media landscape following Elon Musk’s thermonuclear lawsuit. Elon Musk’s X Corp recently went all guns ablaze in a lawsuit against the media group as it claimed that Musk’s platform displayed ads next to antisemitic content.

This remark by Media Matters caused significant tech companies like Apple and IBM, among others, to suspend ads-related activities on the social media platform. Following this, the social media platform went to court, alleging misinformation spread by the media group hampered the platform’s freedom of speech, a fundamental right granted to citizens worldwide.

Moreover, Rumble has now joined the march against the non-profit media group, escalating a lawsuit.
