Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama on Saturday published a second update regarding Shibarium network status and its scaling. Shytoshi Kusama weighs in on preparing the Layer-2 chain for massive traffic, scaling, and decentralization after internal testing. Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens SHIB and LEASH prices have jumped again.
Shytoshi Kusama in an official blog on August 19 said the team has made significant progress in scaling efforts for the Shibarium network after the chain witnessed massive traffic after it went live.
“Some of you may have noticed that we restarted the blockchain again today and it worked well. However, this was only temporary internal testing. Now, with that stage complete, we are scaling up in multiple ways, testing again, and making it public, said Shytoshi Kusama.
The Shiba Inu developer team and affiliates are scaling Shibarium by 1500% to support and manage traffic. It is also working with the decentralized team and validators to scale the server infrastructure by 1500%.
He appreciated the ShibArmy for fighting FUD while developers are busy scaling Shibarium and preventing issues. Meanwhile, the L2 chain seems offline again as developers prepare for sync and scaling.
Shibarium restarted again after the first scaling update by Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya, who said the team is monitoring the chain and insure an amount of $2 million in case there is any issue.
SHIB price jumped 6% from the 24-hour low of $0.0000082 in the past 24 hours, with the price currently trading at $0.0000084. However, trading volume decreased by 37% in the past 24 hours amid negative sentiment in the broader crypto market.
Meanwhile, LEASH price also increased after Shibarium restarted producing blocks. LEASH price is trading at $444, up 3% in 24hrs. However, BONE price fell 4% in the past 24 hours, with the price currently trading at $1.17.
