ThunderCore, high-performance, EVM-compatible public blockchain, has announced a partnership with the Yield Guild Games Southeast Asia (YGG SEA) to launch a developer program that aims to cater demand for blockchain-based games and virtual worlds. With this partnership, ThunderCore aims to bridge the South East Asia developer talent into web 3.0 and attract global web 3.0 talents into the region.
ThunderCore, in partnership with the YGG SEA, aims to establish a developer program to help game developers build their Southeast Asia gaming community so that they can reach a wider audience around the world via their platform. This in turn could also prove to be an opportunity for developers in Europe and North America to establish their users and market in South East Asian countries.
YGG SEA and ThunderCore aim to offer developers with the skills for the perfect market and conditions to enter the SEA market with as ease as possible. Developers will have immediate access to an established EVM-compatible blockchain.
The subsidiary of Yield Guild Games, YGG SEA, is Philippines-based gaming guild and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that focuses on investing in and managing NFT-based games and virtual worlds.
YGG SEA so far has partnered with over 80 games and has more than 175,000 community members. It has deployed more than 20,000 scholarships to date. Yield Guild Games has an impressive track record of helping blockchain games establish market presence in the Southeast Asian market.
YGG SEA has supported some of the top blockchain gaming projects, including Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, The Guild Of Guardians. After its early adoption in the Philippines, Axie Infinity became one of the most famous blockchain games in the industry. Axie Infinity’s token enjoyed tremendous growth last year when it reached as high as $165.37.
With the latest YGG SEA partnership, ThunderCore is looking to devote itself more to the Southeast Asian market, catering to developersto build diverse web 3 games. According to the press release, the network aims to have more exchange listing and hackathon events in the coming year. Given the platform’s abundant sources to reach web 3 users in the gaming industry, developers will have an easier time gaining their users if they are building on ThunderCore. The network’s retention mechanism of web 3 users could prove very beneficial for the developers who will launch their projects with the network, as they can scrape from existing user base for both short and long term.
