Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao or popularly known as “CZ”, recently shared a post where he seems to be in Albania, in meets with Prime Minister Edi Rama and the team from RNS.ID, which describes itself as the world’s first sovereignty-backed digital ID platform.

CZ’s Crypto Endeavors

Although the exact reason behind CZ’s visit to the southern European country is unknown; the Binance CEO hinted at expanding his crypto endeavors by stating that “pushing crypto adoption never stops”.

CZ has lately been on a visiting spree to countries in order to bolster crypto adoption and innovation.

Countries like UAE, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, El Salvador, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines & Palau are a few of such places where CZ embarked upon in recent times to talk and promote the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain as a whole.

However, not just CZ, but the team behind RNS.ID is also in company with the Albanian Prime Minister — as can be seen from their latest tweet.

RNS.ID being a crypto project based on Binance’s BNB-chain can help facilitate its digital ID offering in the country, after the team’s successful attempt in the Republic of Palau.

In June, CZ visited Palau to kick off BNB Chain-supported ID NFTs, where he was introduced to Root Name System (RNS) Digital Residency program, developed by California-based Cryptic Labs.

Albania’s Crypto Push

Edi Rama, the prime minister of Albania, met with Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, in 2017 to talk about the possibilities of blockchain technology in Albania. Mr. Rama also travelled to Malta for the Blockchain Summit, where he spoke about the need for Albania to draw in blockchain companies.

Additionally, the Albanian government has taken steps to foster an environment that is welcoming to blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses. In 2018, the nation’s legislature passed a law recognizing cryptocurrency as a legal tender and with this action, Albania made a clear statement to the blockchain industry that it was open for business.
