Taylor Swift Bets On Kamala Harris for US Elections 2024

For the upcoming US Elections 2024, Taylor Swift has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris against Donald Trump. Besides, she also shared her support for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz soon after the first Trump-Harris debate on Tuesday.

The pop icon praised Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” while highlighting her support for LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive health, as well as women’s rights such as supporting IVF access. Swift wrote:

“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

The pop icon also signed off her Instagram post as “Childless Cat Lady” referring to the 2021 comments made by Republican Vice-President nominee J.D. Vance. The Ohio Senator’s three-year-old clip recently became viral wherein he calls Kamala Harris and other prominent Democrats “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives”. However, Vance has recently clarified that his comments were sarcastic.

Who’s Leading After the Trump-Harris Debate?

The first Trump-Harris debate has led to Donald Trump losing some ground by 3% as per the Polymarket data. As a result of this, the MAGA Price crashed by nearly 11% on Wednesday with no mention of crypto during yesterday’s debate.

As per the Polymarket data, both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump hold 49% odds of winning the US Elections 2024, suggesting a close tie currently between the two.

Taylor Swift also revealed that the major motivating factor in her voting decision was an AI image of her falsely endorsing Trump posted on his website. She wrote:

“It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.”

AI deepfakes emulating popular personalities have created major trouble in recent times. A Tim Cook deepfake video appeared on the Youtube platform earlier this week during the iPhone 16 launch with crypto scammers stealing BTC and ETH from gullible users.
