Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 keynote is all set to go live later tonight. The Apple Store is currently down ahead of the keynote. The keynote is being streamed on Apple’s website, and its official YouTube channel.
Apple’s iOS 17 is expected with a major revamp. Apple’s watchOS, the software that powers the Apple Watch, is also expected to come with significant new features.
Apple Store is down, which means new shiny Apple gadgets are expected to be unveiled in a few hours. If you visit the Apple Store now, you’ll see that the page features an unusual, warped, animated Apple logo, which is likely another last-minute hint that something related to virtual/augmented/mixed reality is coming.
That would likely be the Reality Pro, a long-expected mixed reality headset, with the accompanying new xrOS, and a bunch of new apps and experiences for Apple’s new mixed reality ecosystem. The last time Apple took down its online store ahead of WWDC, the company unveiled the second generation iPad Pro in 2017. The new 15-inch MacBook Air is rumored to use the M2 chip, while the updated Mac Studio models would likely be available with M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips.
A new MacBook Air today, alongside new Mac Studio desktop computers is also expected to be introduced.
Apple is also expected to announce the next major versions of its software platforms: iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS in its keynote event tonight.
