Highlights

  • Bitget renews its partnership with UNICEF's Game Changers Coalition for a second year.
  • The coalition has reached over 642,000 individuals across eight countries since 2025.
  • GCC will expand to three new countries with fresh AI and financial literacy modules.

Bitget announced the start of its second-year partnership with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition today.

Since its launch in 2025, the coalition has reached over 642,000 individuals, including young people, parents, and teachers across eight countries.

This year, the coalition’s vision is to reach a new phase of growth with the addition of financial literacy and AI modules in its curriculum.

Giving Broader Access to Technology Education

There are places in the world where the modern core of technology education hasn’t reached yet. GCC, a global initiative that UNICEF’s Office of Innovation created, exists to fast-track access to digital education in underserved regions.

The initiative brings together the private and public sector to create a technology education ecosystem, educating young people about emerging economies, especially girls. Current reports suggest that girls make up 52% of the participants of these educational programs.

Active across countries including Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa, the coalition’s goal is to build practical digital skills among youngsters. It aims to do so by applying community-based learning programs that are structured around an innovative curriculum.

With in-person and online game hackathons being part of the study module, GCC expects that young people’s understanding of the modern digital economy will accelerate.

Bitget’s Journey with Game Changers Coalition Till Now

Bitget first joined hands with the GCC in June 2025 through its partnership with UNICEF Luxembourg.

Like other private partners, Bitget’s mission was to improve digital literacy and technology access among underserved communities.

During the first year of partnership, Bitget stood at UNICEF’s side as the organization activated multiple programs to increase awareness and participation in technology education. The notable visit to Cambodia created a fruitful encounter between Bitget CMO, Ignacio Aguirre, and students and teachers. The CMO realized the need for proper technology education in these rural areas where passion for learning is high, but chances to exercise that passion are few.

The meeting opened discussions about how to create pathways for more employment, entrepreneurship, and digital economy participation.

With unique youth engagement initiatives through events and interactive learning experiences, including the inaugural global UNICEF Game Jam, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen realized how quickly youngsters are willing to pick up digital tools if they have access to them.

Talking about the critical importance of Bitget’s partnership with the GCC, she said, “Our eventual goal is to introduce blockchain and digital tools and help youngsters develop confidence through long-term digital and financial literacy.”

“This approach,” the CEO added, “can create opportunities for youngsters in regions far beyond crypto.”

This year, however, Bitget’s partnership with the coalition has taken a step further as the world’s biggest Universal Exchange will contribute to enhancing GCC’s curriculum and expanding the coalition’s presence in more regions across the globe.

This updated partnership is in response to rising demand for digital skills. Youngsters need alternate educational pathways, and Bitget will contribute to these literacy opportunities in an executive capacity.

According to the announcement, GCC will expand to three additional countries and roll out new AI modules in the curriculum. Bitget’s contribution to this expansion will be through field visits and direct educational involvement.
