Elon Musk And Crypto Community Comments On X’s Audio & Video Calling Feature

With the idea of making X, formerly known as Twitter an “everything app”, Elon Musk teased users with a post, guiding users to enable audio and video features on Twitter.

Since the takeover with the $44 billion deal, Tesla CEO is leaving no stone unturned to rebrand Twitter, now known as ‘X’. In the latest development, Elon Musk, on October 26 shared a tweet, which read, “Early version of video & audio calling on 𝕏”

The screen capture showed options for enabling voice and audio calls to those in users’ address book, all verified users, and people they “follow” at the service.

X Launches Audio And Video Calling

The new feature announcement created hype amongst users, who replied to the post, with memes and comments like “This is wonderful … X is really taking us someway.. now we are proud of X.” Some of the users shared the screenshots, calling it to be available only for people in the US, as of now.

This is not the first time that Tesla and X’s owner teased the micro-blogging platform users with the announcement of an audio & video calling feature on X. Earlier in August 2023, Musk announced that the X team is working to roll out new features, as the platform is under a rebranding phase. This new feature will enable users to connect with audio and video calls, without having to share their phone numbers.

Recently, a teased post created hype amongst users, as many X users are excited and sharing comments, eagerly waiting for this new rollout, which will make X, an even more exciting place.

Constant Changes with X

Elon Musk-owned X has undergone several changes since the acquisition. Earlier this month, X began testing a $1-per-year subscription fee for new accounts on the web, willing to post and interact on this micro-blogging site. He mentioned that this new, “Not a Bot” feature will reduce spam, automated bot accounts, and manipulation of its services. As of now, this feature which is under trial has been rolled out for users in New Zealand and the Philippines.

Furthermore, since the acquisition of Twitter with a $44 billion deal, X is undergoing several changes, as Musk aims to make this platform an “everything app.”  The platform is still under several developments, keeping users excited and in suspense as to what is coming next with Twitter, now known as X.
