Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter, once again emerged as the talk of the town across the media realm globally following its recent advancements, venturing further into the Media Matters lawsuit. Notably, the social media platform X clashed with the media group Media Matters the previous year, alleging the firm’s malpractices following a series of attacks on X. These attacks suspended substantial advertisement-related activities on the platform, potentially hampering X’s ads revenue businesses. Moreover, in a gust of developments, the lawsuit now seems to be scoping in on democratic megadonors within America, engulfing five significant donors.

Musk Adds New Defendants In The Lawsuit

According to Musk’s recent post on the social media platform X, the Tesla CEO cracked down on a confidential list revealed by Free Beacon, an American conservative political journalism website. The list reportedly spotlighted key contributors to the media group, including Deborah J. Simon, Gill Foundation, Stephen M. Silberstein Foundation, Susan T. Buffet Foundation, and Josh and Anita Bekenstein. Furthermore, according to the list, these contributors collectively donated a whopping $12.37 million to Media Matters, stirring a whirlpool of inferences globally.

Notably, Musk aims to add the aforementioned megadonors as defendants in the ongoing lawsuit against the media group. With this, the X Corp now marks significant strides within its legal chronicle, nabbing noteworthy attention in the industry.

Ever since the X Corp ventured into the realm of media, it seems to have gravitated towards legal battles predominantly. In its recent tussle with legal authorities, the firm also appears to be battling against former Twitter employees.

Moreover, with its ongoing lawsuit against media matters, the firm seems to have noted significant losses due to the suspension of advertisement-related activities on the platform. As reported by CoinGape Media earlier, tech giants such as Apple and IBM suspended their ads on the platform following Media Matters’ antisemitic allegations against X.
