The Kings are back with another innovative technology experience for their fans. US basketball team, Sacramento Kings has announced to begin trial for the first-ever Smart Ticket NFT Experience Pass. This limited edition NFT ticket will come with exclusive privileges and experiences. Sacramento Kings has signed a partnership agreement with Lava and Flow, the blockchain organization that sponsors NBA Top Shot.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Kings and Flow to activate real-time experiences that last forever using blockchain,” said Wen Miao, the founder, and chief executive of Lava.
The Smart Ticket NFT Experience Pass for viewers will be utilized during the NBA Summer League games, set to take place on 3rd and 4th August at the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, California. The limited-edition NFT passes will only allow 100 fans with the ticket to become part of the trial experience of NBA’s first NFT tickets.
Along with being included in the trials, the ticket comes with extra benefits like getting digital artwork and merchandise celebrating the games. Top 100 buyers will get their Smart Ticket NFT Experience Passes directly into their mobile digital wallets, inclusive of funds for food and beverage, and a limited edition digital NFT animation of the California Classic poster design.

Sports NFTs of individual players and teams have already gained global popularity. Sacramento Kings launched their tokens with over 85 NFTs portraying the 1985 commemorative pin given out in the Kings inaugural season in Sacramento, along with the exclusive experiences including 2021-22 Opening Night tickets. Olympics’ first-ever NFT was also launched last week with team Great Britain introducing its NFT store.
