Members of the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem are agog today as the official Twitter handle of the memecoin shared its latest update, the revamp of the protocol’s landing page.
According to the team, the revamp of the Shiba Inu website was inspired by the summer season that has now been fully ushered in. The new website shows robust detail that highlights the protocol’s top ecosystems and offerings including Shibarium, Shibacals, Shib the Metaverse, and Shibaswap to mention a few.
The Shiba Inu protocol said the revamp of the website is just one of the first in the series of products that it plans to float this summer.
Shiba Inu has metamorphosed into a protocol that is now bounded by deep utility and value proposition to its community members. While it started as a memecoin, Shiba Inu now plays such a role as we have seen in other top Layer-1 and 2 protocols with respect to smart contract support.
The Shibarium Layer-2 scaling protocol that has been running on Testnet is one of its biggest success stories thus far. Designed to compete with the likes of Polygon (MATIC) and Arbitrum (ARB) amongst others, Shibarium has been generating a lot of interest both on the part of developers and users alike.
Since the launch of the scaling protocol’s PuppyNET testnet, it has drawn tons of users with recorded millions of transactions across the board. As part of its plans is the proposed launch of Shibarium on the mainnet this summer as earlier teased by the lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama.
The consistent growth in the Shiba Inu ecosystem has helped revive the enthusiasm for Shiba Inu which remains ranked among the top 20 protocols.
With more applications, products, and services launching on the outfit, the demand of the memecoin’s native token SHIB is poised to grow, a trend which if achieved will help drive its price remarkably.
At the time of writing, each SHIB token is valued at a spot price of $0.000008315, up by 4.08% over the past 24 hours and by more than 13% in the Week-to-Date (WTD) period. This growth pattern is projected to continue when Shibarium starts running on the mainnet.
