The XRP ghost co-founder, whose identity is unknown to the crypto community, has made a shocking reappearance today. After years of life away from social media platforms, Arthur Britto, also known as XRP’s Satoshi, has posted on X. Speculations are building that his arrival would fuel a price rally and other milestones. Let’s discuss.
On June 23, 2025, XRP co-founder posted on his X account, which has been empty for the last 14 years. With a minimalist post of a single emoji, Arthur Britto has triggered a frenzy among investors. New speculations, excitement, and bullishness are filling among Ripple holders.
At first, many believed that his account had been hacked, but the Ripple CTO, David Schwartz, confirmed the authenticity. He further added, “Unless, of course, I was hacked too. How deep does this conspiracy go?”
As he has no public photos and interviews, and vanished after founding Ripple, Britto has been regarded as XRP’s Satoshi. Notably, Britto is one of the three creators of the XRP Ledger. While the other two, David Schwartz and Jed McCaleb, are active, he is away from community interaction.
He is believed to be secretly involved in Ripple’s functioning but prefers to avoid media attention. Even though he is not present, 45.8k people follow him, and his first post received more than 2.9M views. This is because he was the one who submitted the code to generate the XRP token’s 100 billion supply, so people follow him for his contribution.
However, the main curiosity is around the alleged 2% XRP supply he has received. Besides, the biggest curiosity concerns the $10,000 price per XRP he forecasted years ago.
Arthur Britto’s life away from media attention is a highly debated topic among investors. However, his dream or prediction of XRP reaching $10,000 per token is another disputable topic, tracing back to 2017.
A YouTube video in 2019 is believed to be the official source of Britto’s $10,000 prediction made in 2017, in which he states that XRP is destined to reach this mark.
The sources alleged that XRP co-founder believes the Ripple token is designed for $10k, emphasising the importance of global scalability to accommodate the 7.5M population.
However, it was never officially confirmed, but it is part of the community’s dream for the token. XRP currently trades at just $2.18 with a market capitalization of $129.06B.
Another XRP Satoshi’s prediction talks about Bitcoin, Open Transaction, and Ripple merging together to form a complementary system. In an 11-year-old Reddit post, Britto explained that Open Transactions would act as the gateway and enable anonymous transactions off-chain.
This event would solve Bitcoin’s scalability issues. Additionally, for Ripple, he predicted that this would make it more accessible for people even without traditional exchanges.
Although his tweet does not disclose anything about his return, experts believe he reappeared at the perfect time. More importantly, they claim that his appearance hints at something big coming for the Ripple token.
A lot of significant milestones are about to happen for this cryptocurrency. The Ripple vs SEC lawsuit resolution, SEC’s approval on spot XRP ETF, Ripple IPO, and much more are in the picture. The demand for the token is also high, as it recently recorded its fourth-highest of 1.5M in 24 hours.
Now, the motive behind the XRP co-founder’s reappearance is unknown, and only further comments from the Ripple team could bring clarity.
