UPDATE: Craig Wright Responds On His Lawsuit To Blockstream’s Co-Founder

Craig Wright is coming to his defense in the latest lawsuit filed against Blockstream’s co-founder and CEO, Adam Back.

The self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto, claims the Blockstream team hacked his idea in a bid to swing the infamous “Kleinman vs Wright” case involving the genesis mined BTC. The latest response from Craig Wright points to his recently dropped lawsuit against Back and a short response to his ongoing case with crypto personality, Peter McCormack.

Craig Wright files libel suit against Blockstream

In a previously published post on Coingape, we explained Craig’s libel suit that claims a hack by the Blockstream team on Bitcoin. He claims the Bitcoin development team could have cause to hack him given Blockstream’s involvement in the plaintiff’s team on Dave Kleinman’s estate vs Craig Wright in the battle for the genesis BTC coins that are said to be worth billions at the moment.

However, the courts found the claims baseless but Craig chose to file the libel suit against Back in October last year. However, in mid-January, Craig withdrew his libel suit from the U.K law courts – a move that reportedly cost him over $22,000 in legal and restitution fees, according to Mr. Back.

The explanation as to why the plaintiff withdrew the lawsuit was unclear at the time of the ruling with no explanation offered to the judge. Now, Craig has come forward to offer his reasons as to why, he did not push the matter further against Back.

Craig response to “withdrawn lawsuit”

According to a tweet by Whale Panda, a famed crypto journalist, Craig Wright claims he could not find Adam Back that’s why he chose to drop the lawsuit. The leaked Slack messages from Craig read;

“We dropped it [Back’s lawsuit] as we could not find him, just as we served him – figures.”

However, Wright states that his team is still working on three “unnamed” defamation cases in the field. One of the most famous lawsuits by “Faketoshi” (as labeled by critics) is against crypto personality, Peter McCormack. The libel suit filed is over Peter McCormack accusing Wright of fraud and falsely claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin.

On the lawsuit, Craig wrote,

“McCormack [lawsuit] is not stopping.”
