Having accurate profit and loss analysis is crucial to making good decisions concerning cryptocurrency investments. In response to this, CoinStats has introduced a major update aimed at improving crypto portfolio tracking and management. CoinStats had earlier released Portfolio Analytics 2.0 in May, which built upon the new update, which presents the most accurate profit and loss calculation as of today, so as to give users more accuracy in their crypto investments.

Advanced Portfolio Profit & Loss (P/L)

With the new profit and loss calculation feature, users can access their total portfolio P/L through multiple detailed metrics:

  • Total Cost: The amount spent on buying it all. Unrealized P/L: the profit or loss on assets that have not been sold yet.
  • Realized P/L: The profit or loss from assets that have already been sold.
  • All P/L: total realized and unrealized P/Ls combined together.

CoinStats

These measures provide an inclusive overview of portfolio performance and, hence, enable informed investment choices.

Example Breakdown:

  • First Purchase: Acquired 3 SOL tokens at $100 each.
  • Sale: After the price rose to $200, I sold 1 SOL token.
  • Current Holding: At present, I have 2 SOL tokens that are worth $300.
  • Total Cost (of current holdings): It is costing me around $200 for this holding.
  • Unrealized P/L: (2 SOL * $300) – (2 SOL * $100) = $400.
  • Realized P/L: (1 SOL * $200) – (1 SOL * $100) = $100.
  • All P/L:$500.

Detailed Asset P/L

CoinStats now has a detailed account of how profitable or lossy each asset was. To view these insights, users need to go to any coin’s ‘Holdings’ tab. Users can click on any P/L metric and see the average buy and sell prices for this specific coin.

For those who want to brag about their successes, CoinStats offers an option for sharing screenshots. After a user clicks on any of the profit or loss metrics, he or she can use the Share button in order to create shareable banners.

Profit & Loss

The update also includes detailed profit-and-loss calculations based on individual transactions. To view these details in the history tab, users can filter them by specific coins and have a better understanding of their transaction performance.

DeFi Holdings Integration

Responding to user requests, CoinStats has integrated DeFi holdings into the total balance. This feature is highly anticipated, as it allows users to include their DeFi investments in order to gain more complete portfolio outlooks. To access this, users need to go to the portfolio section, click on the ‘DeFi’ tab, and then toggle ‘Total DeFi’.

These new features are now live, designed to provide greater clarity and success in crypto investments. User feedback is of great importance at CoinStats, where these updates were rolled out, and they are advised to check them out and share their experiences on Twitter.

Conclusion

With these enhancements, CoinStats continues its commitment to providing top-tier crypto portfolio management, helping users navigate the dynamic crypto landscape with precision and confidence.
