Coinbase Debuts New Market Strategy

It is worth noting that pre-launch markets are significantly different from standard perpetual futures markets. One of the clear-cut differences is that the former offers unique considerations to users but also poses high risks. Therefore, institutional and retail investors are advised to trade with caution after fully understanding the risks involved.
Those who do not grasp the intricacies involved in pre-launch markets are encouraged to steer clear of the new Coinbase offering.
The first pre-launch listing is scheduled to go live on Monday after which interested users can interact with the tokens. Institutional investors can utilize the Coinbase International Exchange platform while retail traders goes through the Coinbase Advanced route.
Coinbase Shares Crucial Disclosures
Noteworthy, the new platform is not integrated into Coinbase’s Liquidity Support Program (LSP). Hence, the exchange warns that due to the high-risk nature of these pre-launch markets, they may be susceptible to lower liquidity, higher volatility and increased liquidation risk. Compared to standard perpetual futures, these markets might ultimately be at higher risk of Auto-Deleveraging.
This launch is a testament to the exchange’s dominance in the US market after series of altcoin listing thus far this month. In the meantime, the offering is only available to Coinbase customers who do not reside in the United States, Canada or in the UK.
One of Coinbase’s recent addition is its smart wallet for users. This product is designed with the aim of onboarding new users seamlessly alongside other perks. According to the company, the wallet solves complex onboarding, network fees, and recovery phrases aiming to onboard 1 billion users on-chain.
