Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the newsroom, ensuring the timely publication of news articles.
• Develop and execute content strategies to enhance Coingape’s presence as a top crypto news platform.
• Assign and review stories, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
• Work closely with writers, reporters, and analysts to produce high-quality news content.
• Monitor industry trends, breaking news, and regulatory updates to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Fact-check and verify sources to maintain the credibility and trustworthiness of our news.
• Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement.
• Collaborate with the social media and multimedia teams to enhance content distribution.
• Manage newsroom workflows, set deadlines, and provide editorial direction to the team.
• Ensure compliance with journalistic ethics and best practices.
• Oversee and manage live blog coverage of major crypto events, market movements, and breaking news.

Requirements:

• Proven 5+ years of experience as an editor, journalist, or newsroom manager, preferably in the crypto, finance, or tech industry.
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, and Web3 trends.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle breaking news efficiently.
• Experience managing a team of writers and reporters.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital publishing tools.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• A deep network of sources in the crypto and blockchain industry (a plus).
