DeFi giant Lido on Wednesday announced a significant development in association with Deutsche Borse’s crypto arm, Crypto Finance AG. It essentially underscores the mission of Lido to expand the access of staked ETH to institutional investors. With this, Crypto Finance AG has gained a partner it can count on to stake and access staked ETH (stETH).
Lido Staked ETH (stETH) Custody and Staking Launched
The announcement by Lido Institutional has underlined that clients of Crypto Finance will now be able to leverage liquid staking token Lido Staked ETH (stETH) in a trusted manner. This will enable them to integrate stETH into their investment strategies, marking a significant step for Crypto Finance AG and its clients.
Three investment strategies that clients will be able to access are safeguarding stETH holdings, unlocking liquidity, and engaging in DeFi. Safeguarding staked ETH is backed by a compliant custody environment which is tailored depending on the needs of an institutional user.
Clients will be able to access the secondary liquidity of Lido Staked ETH (stETH) to maintain staking rewards without losing staked amount flexibility. Finally, users will be able to venture out to the broader landscape of top decentralized finance, or DeFi, by leveraging stETH.
Crypto Finance Executives on Lido Staking
Kasper Luyckx, the Head of Wallet Infrastructure & Staking Services at Crypto Finance AG, has called the integration of Lido Protocol into their wallet solution a significant step. Kasper has further stated that it will help them meet the needs of institutional clients, adding that they are now dedicated to setting new standards for innovation and security in the world of digital asset services.
Kean Gilbert, the Institutional Relations Contributor to Lido DAO, has highlighted that the integration will help clients take advantage of the liquidity and flexibility of stETH through Lido Protocol middleware. Kean has also established that the integration will create new pathways for institutions to access staked ETH.
What to Expect Next?
The integration of Crypto Finance AG and Lido Institutional is in the early stages, but is expected to fetch positive results for stETH. Access to three different investment strategies is a significant step along with granting the opportunity to access the broader landscape of DeFi. Kasper Luyckx and Kean Gilbert are confident that the integration will succeed while helping them bridge the gap between traditional finance and decentralized technology.
For now, the impact of the announcement is evident on Lido Staked ETH (stETH) price falters amid uncertainty in the crypto market ahead of the US CPI inflation data. The price is exchanging hands at $3,191.
