As the Donald Trump transition team looked for an SEC Chair, pro-crypto lawyer Teresa Goody Guillen has emerged as a lead contender. Crypto firms back former SEC attorney Guillen due to her SEC experience, Wall Street ties and representing blockchain firms against the agency.
Teresa Goody Guillen partner at the law firm BakerHostetler, where she co-leads its blockchain practice. She can help Trump overhaul the policies during Gary Gensler’s term and cut bureaucracy.
Other SEC chair candidates include another crypto favorite Brad Bondi, former SEC commissioner Paul Atkins, and former SEC general counsel Robert Stebbins. Pro-XRP lawyer John Deaton and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse slammed Stebbins’ candidacy for replacing Gensler.
Kevin Warsh Leads for US Treasury Secretary Position
FOX Business senior correspondent Charles Gasparino revealed that Kevin Warsh is leading other candidates for US Treasury Secretary position. As per Reuters, Trump will interview Warsh and Apollo Global Management CEO Marc Rowan for the Treasury job on Wednesday.

Trump team’s search for Treasury chief widens as DOGE founding member Howard Lutnick named Commerce Secretary. The odds of Scott Bessent, founder of hedge fund manager Key Square Group, becoming the next US Treasury Secretary also dropped recently.
