Breaking: Elon Musk Announces Linda Yaccarino As New Twitter CEO

Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Friday announced that he has finally found a new CEO for Twitter, now X Corp. She will take over as CEO in 6 weeks. Several potential names were floating over the Internet and media which includes Linda Yaccarino, Ella Irvin, Mary Barra, and Sheryl Sandberg.
In the latest tweet, Elon Musk confirmed that Linda Yaccarino is the new CEO of Twitter. She will majority focus on business operations.
Linda Yaccarino, who was reportedly believed to assume the top position at the social media company, resigned today from NBCU.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk will become Executive Chair and CTO of Twitter, overseeing product, software & sysops. After taking over Twitter for $44 billion in October, Musk announced in December that he would step down as CEO once he found a suitable person for the job.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk was in discussion with NBCUniversal’s head of advertising Linda Yaccarino to become Twitter CEO. Yaccarino lined perfectly with Musk’s aim to increase advertising on the social media platform and transform into “X – the everything app.”

Elon Musk to Step Down As Twitter CEO, Who Is Linda Yaccarino?
Linda Yaccarino on Friday resigned as chair of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, after several reports cited her as a potential candidate for Twitter CEO. She had been with the company for over a decade. She has 19 years of experience in advertising sales at Turner.
Moreover, she is also Chair of the Advertising Council’s Board of Directors, which will help meet Elon Musk’s plan on advertising on Twitter to increase revenue.
Linda Yaccarino is Chairman of a World Economic Forum task force and also a member of WEF’s Media, Entertainment, and Culture Industry Governors Steering Committee.
She is also the global chair of YMU, a British talent-management group, providing Twitter access to famous personalities and celebrities.
Linda interviewed Elon Musk at the MMA Global POSSIBLE conference, discussing topics such as free speech and protection for advertisers on Twitter. Linda Yaccarino has been in talks with Elon Musk over the role of CEO at Twitter since the interview.

According to terms and policies, Elon Musk to officially change Twitter to X Corp next week on May 18. The terms of service, privacy policy, and data processing agreement are updated to reflect the name change.
