Twitter News Updates: Employees Sleep on Office’s Floor; Musk Fires Employees; Trolls Critics With Memes
Elon Musk Twitter Updates: Twitter is in turmoil after Elon Musk’s takeover. He has announced job cuts in Twitter. According to reports, he’s about to fire half of Twitter’s 7,500 workforce.
In a mail sent to employees today, the billionaire asked employees who are on their way to office to return home and await an email. Twitter will email their employees, stating whether they have been affected by layoffs or not.
Earlier, Elon Musk had instructed staff to work 12 hours a day, seven days a week, to reinvent Twitter. Additionally, he abandoned the Twitter’s “work from anywhere” policy, forcing all staff to come to the office.
Twitter employees can be seen sleeping on the floor amid this crisis. A Twitter employee, Evan Jones, took to Twitter and posted a photo of Esther Crawford, Twitter’s director of product management, sleeping on the office floor. He wrote, “When you need something from your boss at elon Twitter”.

Elon Trolls Critics of Twitter’s $8 Blue-Tick Subscription Plan
Apart from this, a discussion over whether Elon Musk’s decision to charge Twitter users $8 per month for “blue tick” has been going on since the announcement first surfaced. Many people are upset that Musk is charging for a service that was previously free. Musk, though, is in the mood to silence his critics with verbal jabs, sarcasm, tweets, and memes. Musk has been trolling critics, including celebrities, with memes on Twitter.
In one of the memes, he criticised people for buying $8 Starbucks coffee happily. But they are crying out to pay $8 for the blue tick for 30 days.
