Manish Malhotra Fashion NFT Lehengas : A Glimpse

On October 6, 2021, Indian designer Manish Malhotra debuted his NFT collection at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week and the WazirX marketplace. He claims that NFTs have exciting potential. He believes that NFT is the best next step to enter the new industry due to the digitization of fashion with our in-house couture films and our virtual store on the MM website. Finding consumers and collectors for an artist’s work has never been easy. Malhotra is convinced that NFTs will ultimately solve this issue.

Together with WazirX NFT Marketplace and FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week, Malhotra created five unique fashion NFTs. In his collection, you’ll find a 1998 image of Lisa Ray, a lovely sketch of a chikankari (delicate hand embroidery) ensemble, a 2013 video titled “Reminiscing Runways,” and a sketch titled “Illuminous Showstopper” featuring a sari from the Bollywood movie “Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani.”.

Manish Malhotra created this hand-drawn design, which Deepika Padukone wore in the film Ye Jawani hai Deewani. Currently, it cost 453.13 USD which is approximately 37,400 Indian rupees.

Manish Malhotra designed a custom constellation sketch for megastar Kareena Kapoor Khan to wear on the red carpet of the 2019 HT Most Stylish Awards. Currently, it cost 617.9 USD which is approximately 51,100 Indian rupees. At the time of its inauguration, NFT creator and collector Mike Blue purchased it for 3500 WRX. The current currency value of this is INR 3.10 lakhs ($3,753) approximately.

Reminiscing Runways (2013)

This NFT is a 2013 video titled Reminiscing Runways. when Manish Malhotra and the models continue to perform in the rain. The purpose of the show was to raise funds to save the lives of children suffering from blood cancer. Currently, it cost 411.93 USD which is approximately 34,000 Indian rupees.

Illustrious Sketch – Chikankari

Manish Malhotra’s Chikankari sketch depicts the revival of the craft in its modernized form by the women of the Mijwan Welfare Society. It is an NGO founded by Shabana Azmi, Namrata Goyal, and Manish Malhotra. . Currently it cost 72,088.42 USD which is approximately 59,65,282 Indian rupee.
