ChatGPT AI Chatbot Sees Slump in Customer Base
GenAI took off in late 2022 when ChatGPT, which mimics human speech, was able to write poems, summarize lengthy texts, and even come up with theme party ideas.
Reuters also highlights that according to data analytics company Similarweb, the well-known business, which broke the record for having the fastest-growing user base, has suffered a slowdown in growth since May 2023, when its traffic reached a height of 1.8 billion web views.
Will No Sign-up Pose Threat to Privacy?
ChatGPT AI Chatbot has already been under the radar for potential malwares. According to recent reports, researchers found that AI programs such as ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini can serve as havens for malware threats.
The study found a malware worm that “is not a vulnerability in the GenAI service and exploits bad architecture design for the GenAI ecosystem.” After the 1988 Morris worm, which brought down almost 10% of all internet-connected PCs, this malware worm is known as Morris II.
With the new no sign-up move, the question now arises if it will pose an issue for users of the application. For users visiting ChatGPT without creating an account, OpenAI claims to have added further content protections, including the ability to restrict prompts and generations over a larger variety of categories. These categories were not specified.
