Anomaly

Switzerland / The Journal-Wire / 16 July 2024 —  Anomaly, the layer 3 blockchain and AI gaming app, recently crossed a significant milestone with over 200,000 plays in just over a week on its test net campaigns. It has now publicly released its Telegram launcher, which has a series of ChatGPT-based mini-games built inside.

Following the infamous trends of Telegram-based dApps, Anomaly’s latest crypto Telegram bot allows users to choose to play from three titles: Dicestone, Pinball, and the upcoming Wildstone game. Each mini-game built within the bot will enable players to compete against ChatGPT with three daily plays. The initiative aims to capitalize on the company’s motto, offering a unique blend of fun and social engagement.

The bot can be accessed by searching its username @anomalybot. It’s free for Telegram users and available on both mobile devices and desktop.

Anomaly opened its Telegram bot to the public on 16 July 2024. The app allows referral points for its users, with up to 16x multipliers.

CEO and Founder Long Do said – We believe the gaming industry is on the cusp of a transformative shift with the advent of mini-game apps on social platforms like Telegram and now Discord. This evolution represents an untapped user acquisition and engagement frontier, particularly within the web3 space.

Long continued –Users can also connect any of their Anomaly NFT collections for double-up rewards and points, amongst other perks.

Web3 products’ significant expansion into third-party services like Telegram is notable and expands the ‘SocialFi’ element within cryptocurrency ecosystems.

Other companies integrating TAP-based games into Telegram include Hamster Kombat and Notcoin, projects that have gained widespread popularity in crypto over the last couple of months. Legacy brands like Microsoft have also made a foray into social messaging apps through its Co-pilot initiative, while Google’s efforts with Gemini continue to rival all other parties through generative AI.

Anomaly recently announced its partnership with Notcoin and highlighted its deep integrations with multiple chains, including B3, an emerging base layer 3 technology.

Long said –2024 is significant for concepts such as GenAI and social finance into tangible business success. We’ve been grateful to have over 1.6 million ChatGPT API requests with hundreds of thousands of active members. With the widespread popularity and ease of access, we’ve seen a significant uptick in the market for Telegram-based games. We are happy to announce our bot is being made available to the public.”

The company recently announced an oversubscribed pre-seed round, raising $1.45M at an $11M post-money valuation led by Decasonic. Participation came from Shima Capital, Round 13, Triptyq VC, BreakOrbit VC, Inferno Labs, and notable angel investors. Additionally, Web3 luminary and The 333 Club founder Zeneca has invested strategically, endorsing Anomaly’s vision.

Long continued – “We’re excited to see this platform come to life and looking forward to providing continuous value for our community.”

Anomaly also stands out with its AI-powered SDK, which enables rapid creation and deployment of mini-games across social media platforms such as Telegram and Discord. The platform’s advanced AI functionalities include player-model training, matchmaking, automated quest creation, and in-game asset generation, set to change the gaming experience.

It employs a strategic approach that leverages Arbitrum’s Orbit for an ultra-fast gaming user experience and Gelato’s leading web3 services for automated gameplay. This approach facilitates a zero-gas fee environment and ensures fair play through on-chain randomness.

Long said – “We’re happy to have delivered our promise on product development and initiatives with our newly secured funding, and we’d like to thank our investors for supporting us since day one.

The company integrates custom AI engine-built mini-games into its platforms, aiming to make lightweight games that leverage relevant crypto apps for distribution, dePIN architecture to manage + scale computing, and crypto incentives to help bootstrap + retain.
