TRON DAO Forum Launched for Grand Hackathon Community Participation

BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) and TRON DAO are launching the TRON Grand Hackathon 2022. Ahead of the Hackathon, TRON DAO and BTTC have introduced the TRON DAO Forum for the community members to interact, create threads, find information, and have questions answered about crypto in general.

Tron, the $6.5 billion market cap cryptocurrency, was founded by H.E. Justin Sun in late 2017, and its mainnet was then launched a year later. In Dec. 2021, the project transitioned to full decentralization and is now a community-governed DAO.

With this DAO, a decentralized autonomous organization, Tron’s mission is to put the power in the hands of the community.

“With the increasing use of decentralized, peer-to-peer, and secure networks, blockchain is becoming the backbone of Web 3.0 – the decentralized web,” said H.E. Justin Sun, founder of TRON. “The future is not far from where decentralized storage, decentralized applications, digital assets, and cryptocurrency wallets are widespread,” he added.

As such, TRON DAO and BTTC came together to launch the TRON Grand Hackathon 2022, for which registration has already begun starting February 14 and will last until March 7.

With this Hackathon, the goal is to promote cross-chain solutions and the mass adoption of blockchain technology. As such, it centers around DeFi, GameFi, NFT, and Web3 projects built on TRON and other blockchain platforms.

To determine the Hackathon winners, there would be a review panel consisting of crypto experts, KOLs, and a public community review board, whose scores account for 30%, 30%, and 40% respectively. Community reviewers will vote on the TRON DAO Forum.

Currently, there are five categories on the Forum for members to talk about the Tron ecosystem, other blockchain and cryptocurrencies, programming, and site feedback. Another category is TRON Hackathon, where those participating in the Hackathon are encouraged to submit their projects as their interactions with community members here will also be taken into account when judging the projects.

When submitting your project publicly to the TRON DAO Forum, it is advised to include details covering the introduction, achievements, screenshots, photos, videos, a working prototype, and other information.

The Hackathon has a bounty of $500k and will take place every three months to promote the growth of the TRON and BTTC ecosystem.
