Former Ripple Director Sean McBride has recently urged U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to comment on what he perceives as corruption within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). McBride’s call for Kennedy’s input stems from his belief that the SEC’s treatment of cryptocurrencies, particularly XRP, lacks transparency and fairness.
Former Ripple Director’s Message To RFK Jr
In his message directed at Kennedy, McBride highlighted XRP as the only cryptocurrency with regulatory clarity. Moreover, he noted that it is not considered a security after the July 2023 judgment in the Ripple vs SERipple vs SEC case. He specifically stated, “Did you know that XRP is the only cryptocurrency with regulatory clarity and not considered a security?”
Hence, he went on question the “corrupt” SEC’s practices against XRP and other crypto industry proponents and urged for a comment from RFK Jr. Since the U.S. presidential candidate has reiterated his pledge to curb corruption, the SEC might end up in crosshair if he secures a term. Furthermore, McBride emphasized XRP’s eco-friendly nature, as it is “pre-mined” and does not require the energy-intensive mining process associated with other cryptocurrencies. Therefore, he asked RFK Jr for his opinion on the same as he has prior experience as an environmentalist.
However, RFK Jr hasn’t provided a comment on the Ripple’s XRP vs SEC case as of now. Whilst, Kennedy, in response to a post listing his career accomplishments, expressed gratitude and affirmed his commitment to fighting corporate malfeasance. He stated, “Thank you for this list! I will continue to fight for those who’ve been taken advantage of by corrupt corporations. More than ever, we need accountability in Washington. I will get it done.”

RFK Promotes Shiba Inu
Ahead of the former Ripple exec’s comment, RFK Jr was observed endorsing Shiba Inu’s slogan: “It’s Not A Meme, It’s A Movement.” The update was highlighted by Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu (SHIB), in a post on X on March 4. At the ETHDenver 2024 event, RFK Jr. and Russ Davis from In Russ We Trust Crypto were spotted wearing Shiba Inu badges.
This initiative demonstrated their support for the SHIB Army, marking a significant moment for the Shiba Inu community. Moreover, Shiba Inu has gained significant traction, especially during the recent meme coin rally, positioning itself strong as it entered the list of top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
