Buy $GGsJust-In: Aptos (APT) Price To Rally 2X After This Upgrade?
Layer-1 blockchain protocol Aptos Network on Thursday said the Aptos Node v1.2 release is coming soon to the Aptos Mainnet. The upgrade will introduce new features and enhancements to improve performance, reduce timeouts, and support new integer types.
Aptos (APT) price has rallied over 450% in January amid massive community support and the new upgrade is likely to push APT prices higher due to an increase in use cases and transactions.
Aptos Announces Node v1.2 Release
According to the official Twitter handle of Aptos, the Aptos v1.2 Release is coming to Aptos Mainnet soon. The team has conducted tested the new features and enhancements on testnet, which are available for the community to view on GitHub.
The Aptos Node v1.2 version will add exponential back-off to reduce timeouts for full nodes in low-bandwidth environments and performance optimizations to reduce latencies and better handle timeouts.
Aptos Layer 1 blockchain uses the Move programming language. The upgrade will add support for new integer types (u16, u32, u256), view functions, compile-time checks for transaction arguments, and smart contracts. The new version release on the Aptos mainnet will enable the AIP 1, AIP 2, AIP 3, and AIP 4 governance proposals to reduce gas, increase transaction efficiency, and make multiple token changes.
Apart from features and enhancements, the team also fixed a couple of bugs that risk the crash of validators or DoS the system. The bugs were identified during routine third-party auditing and bug bounty program.
APT Price Massive Rally
Aptos (APT) price recorded a massive 450% rally in January. The APT price is currently trading at $18.24, up over 12% in the last 24 hours. The 24-hour low and high are $15.66 and $18.63, respectively. Furthermore, the trading volume has increased by 50% in the last 24 hours, indicating an increase in interest.
The APT price is likely to rally higher after the Aptos Node v1.2 release on the mainnet. Aptos has quickly gained community support as it ranked 24th in the top 100 crypto list.
