Whales Shift 500 Million XRP; Will XRP Price React To This?
XRP News: Ripple’s native crypto, XRP price hasn’t registered much movement over the past 7 days. However, other major cryptos like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have managed to keep up the positive momentum. The stagnancy in XRP price might be the result of the delayed decision in the long running XRP lawsuit.
Whales On XRP Accumulation Spree?
It looks like major crypto whales are not affected by the recent price movement or pending outcome of the XRP lawsuit. As per the data provided by WhaleAlert, over 540 million XRP (approx worth $216 million) have been moved in the last 24 hours. The largest transaction recorded by the tracker has been of moving 205 million XRP (approx worth $81.7 million) to an unknown wallet.
However, several whales have taken benefit of the recent price drop to add more XRP to their wallets. Data depicts that more than 76 million (approx worth $30 million) were added in multiple transactions. XRP price have dropped by around 2% in the last 7 days while other cryptos are on a surge. It is trading at an average price of $0.39, at the press time. XRP’s 24 hour trading volume is marginally down to stand at $962 million.
Meanwhile, several whales have been caught dumping millions of XRP. As per the data, 75 million XRP (approx worth $19.7 million) have been moved to crypto exchanges in multiple transactions.
