IVS 2026 will take place from July 1–3, 2026, in Kyoto, Japan, marking its fourth consecutive year in Kyoto. Recognized as Japan’s largest startup conference, IVS brings together entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, government leaders, and creators from Japan and around the world. The event will be held at Kyoto International Exhibition Hall “Miyako Messe” along with additional venues across Kyoto City.
Launched in 2007, IVS has grown into one of Japan’s most influential startup and innovation events. The 2026 edition is being positioned as a practical, results-driven conference focused on delivering real value for participants. Organizers say IVS will continue evolving as a participatory platform, where speakers, attendees, sponsors, and government stakeholders help shape discussions, programs, and networking opportunities.
IVS 2026 will build on the momentum of previous Kyoto editions. In 2025, the conference introduced new initiatives such as the IVS Startup Market, which featured 300 exhibitors, and the proprietary 4S system, designed to streamline ticketing, side-event management, and meeting coordination for a 10,000-person scale event. These upgrades were aimed at improving networking and making the overall event experience more practical and outcome-focused.
More details on the IVS 2026 speaker lineup, agenda, and session tracks are expected closer to the event as the conference plans are finalized.
