Bitget Launches Universal Cup With 250,000 USDT Prize Pool

Highlights

  • Bitget's Universal Cup runs from June 11 to July 19.
  • Users trade to score points and climb country leaderboards.
  • Total prize pool stands at 250,000 USDT across four reward systems.

Today, Bitget launched Universal Cup, a global football-themed community campaign fashioned as a “digital football tournament”.

In this tournament, users from across the globe will compete for a share of a 250,000 USDT prize pool.

The campaign will take players through a unique minigame that mirrors the biggest sporting event of the year, giving users an interactive trading game ecosystem as they compete for the pool.

What is Universal Cup?

Bitget’s new Universal Cup is built around the theme: “Don’t Just Watch. Rule the Game.” It is essentially a call to users to not just sit on the sidelines as spectators, but enjoy the sport on the field.

The game will feature everything from users representing nations to scores. Players will compete in tournaments to score points and climb leaderboards to unlock unique rewards.

The entire ambiance of the game is designed to mirror football. Players can pick from 48 countries and participate in a “penalty shootout challenge.” Their targets will be three goalposts: crypto, stocks, and CFDs.

But instead of kicking the ball, players will score based on their successful trades on the platform. Each score by the players will contribute to their country’s overall ranking. However, Bitget’s new campaign will allow players to continue to play even if their countries are eliminated. Starting from June 11, the tournament will run till July 19.

A Massive 250,000 USDT Prize Pool

The total pool size is 250,000 USDT, which won’t be distributed all at once. As the campaign is designed to foster continued participation, the rewards will be distributed through four systems:

  1. Daily rewards
  2. Leaderboard rankings
  3. Lucky draws
  4. Championship prizes

Players that gain the most points will compete in the final tournament. And if the nation that players represent wins, there will be additional rewards.

Making Participation Part of the Experience: Bitget CEO

Talking about how the most passionate fans of sports have only been spectators till now, Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, stated that crypto can change the existing sports dynamic.

“Universal Cup makes participation part of the experience,” the CEO said, highlighting that the Universal Cup is a unique initiative that unifies community, competition, and engagement around a global sporting event while giving users a fun way to interact with Bitget’s Universal Exchange ecosystem.

Universal Cup is the Evolution of Bitget’s Connection With the Football Community

The Universal Cup isn’t a singular initiative but represents the evolution of Bitget’s connection with the global football community. The exchange previously partnered with football icon Lionel Messi and currently serves as an official regional partner of LALIGA across Eastern, Southeast Asian, and Latin American markets.

With the Universal Cup, the developers envision an ecosystem that brings the thrill of the football field to Bitget’s trading paradigm.
