MegaWorld Expands To BNB Chain With $1 Million Airdrop Rewards
MegaWorld, formerly referred to as MegaCryptoPolis, the decentralized economic metaverse since 2018, has announced in its recent press release that it is expanding its presence to the BNB Chain with an airdrop campaign worth one million dollars.
Considering the growing footprint of the BNB Chain in the metaverse space and the overall blockchain ecosystem, MegaWorld’s move to tap into this chain’s community seemingly comes at the right time. There is no doubt that the future of blockchains is multi-chain, which perfectly explains MegaWorld’s move to BNB Chain.
As a first step, the project plans to conduct the grand opening of the BNB Chain City on December 15, 2022. The playable demo of the BNB Chain City will be available already on Dec, 10. MegaWorld has also stated that the early supporters and active community members would get a chance to acquire rare in-game assets.
The new city on BNB Chain will be the third overall installment inside MegaWorld’s metaverse. The first two cities launched on the Ethereum and Tron networks.
The metaverse has so far had impressive success across both Ethereum and Tron, and they have managed to distribute roughly 15,000 ETH and 100 million TRX in player rewards so far. More importantly, MegaWorld onboarded hundreds of thousands of players as one of the first Web3 games launched in 2018, giving the project the early mover advantage.
The open-world experience of the strategic city builder game stood out the most for players. There is always something new to explore, whether crafting game items or developing their project in the metaverse. With the new BNB city, MegaWorld is adding more features to the game in terms of customization. Players can now create buildings to their liking using in-game resources.
In early 2023, MegaWorld plans a new airport for Avatars with a cross-chain bridge on BNB chain city. This would mark the beginning of the interoperable journey for MegaWorld. And players don’t have to pay any transaction fee for bringing assets between different chains integrated into the metaverse.
Considering MegaWorld is a battle-tested gaming project in Web3, it’s not surprising to see them innovate in the current bear market. Further, as MegaWorld is free-to-play, it will likely continue to attract new gamers to Web3 and drive meaningful adoption.
While there’s no denying that the metaverse is the future of gaming, we cannot ignore that there’s a tremendous amount of work needed to reach the mainstream audience. And projects like MegaWorld are taking the right initiatives and offering easy access for everyone who wants to experience the metaverse.
