SuperOne Forms A ‘Trinity of Football’ In Partnership With Footballco And FIFPRO
The ‘Trinity of Football’ aims to promote and spread awareness of SuperOne, license the game content, and empower value-creation for professional football players and their fans.
SuperOne, a blockchain-based gaming company creating the first gamified social network, announced this Wednesday it is entering into a partnership with Footballco and FIFPRO, two of the largest organizations in world football today. This collaboration aims to open up global football (or “soccer, if you prefer) to digital social communities.
The partnership with Footballco, the world’s leading football media company, will the media conglomerate “promote and spread awareness of SuperOne” while FIFPRO, the premier professional footballers’ union, will deal with “licensing its game content and empower value-creation for football players in the new digital economy,” the statement from SuperOne reads.
“Footballco and FIFPRO represent the two most prominent avenues to achieve mass adoption in the football gaming industry. This trinity of football collaboration will disrupt the gaming industry, and we are humble, yet proud, of this achievement,” said Andreas Christensen, Techowner and Founder of SuperOne.
As sports fanaticism, mainly football, grows towards the 2 billion mark, many of them remain segmented with little access to the teams or athletes they support. Additionally, many fans constantly have to reach far and wide to relate to other fans, engage with others with the same interests, or find new methods to prove their fanship. SuperOne aims to bring fan communities together through their unique trivia battle game aimed at football fans in a bid to narrow the gap between fans and their communities.
Launched in 2019, SuperOne aims to engage billions of sports and football fans via its ultimate fandom trivia battle. The game offers every player and fan an avenue to connect to others and generate revenue in a fair and real-time ecosystem by simply competing against other fans. The first to be released will be the Battle Royale game, where players fight each other to avoid elimination, be the last fan standing, and ultimately, win prizes.
A global outlook for digital gaming football fans
FIFPRO unites the voice of over 65,000 professional football players and their national unions to ensure they are internationally represented in the decisions affecting their working environments and the football industry in general. SuperOne together with FIFPRO’s Commercial Enterprises B.V. will give the former the most comprehensive package of names, images and likenesses of active football players to use in its football trivia game.
In what he terms “the passion of football fans with brain-twisting trivia”, FIFPRO’s Commercial Director, Andrew Orsatti welcomed the partnership with SuperOne promising “an innovative partnership that will champion the rights of professional footballers”.
“We’ve combined the passion of football fans with brain-twisting trivia, in a blood-pumping race against the clock, with great prizes on offer. It’s an ideal companion in between watching all the drama of the World Cup in Qatar,” Orsatti added.
Additionally, the partnership with Footballco will open up global exposure to the digital game. Footballco is a footballing media conglomerate with brands such as Goal, Kooora and Mundial boasting over 640 million football fans and generating over a billion video views per month.
“We are delighted to work with SuperOne to help launch their exciting offering to football fans worldwide. We share a common goal of providing football fans with memorable and rewarding digital experiences,” said Footballco’s VP of Global Football Partnership, Andy Jackson.
As part of the partnership, SuperOne becomes the exclusive presenting partner of GOAL50, a fan-voted player award that awards the top 50 footballers in the world every year.
