Bitcoin adoption is rising dramatically as a number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide has broken through the 3,000 number. Czech Republic is one of the countries that is eagerly supporting this adoption as its capital Prague installs several BTC ATM. Despite Bitcoin price on a downward spiral, Bitcoin adoption is only moving upwards.

Prague metro system gets Bitcoin ATMs, Czech Republic going BTC pro

Over the last few months, Bitcoin has been experiencing a rise in its adoption as organizations around the world have started accepting BTC as payments. Recently, Czech Republic’s energy giant announced Bitcoin payment acceptance. Also, Argentina bank introduced a new program where it will allow the cross-border payments with BTC.

The latest development in this field is the rising Bitcoin ATMs. The Czech Republic is certainly recognizing the importance of Bitcoin as its capital and largest city Prague gets 10 new BTC ATMs.

Prague has one of the busiest metro stations in Europe. With more than 1.6 million passengers a day, these ATMs will be gaining a substantial level of exposure.

The 10 most important metro stations of the city will get the Bitcoin ATMs which are Dejvická, Zličín, Pankrác, Můstek, Hlavní Nádraží, Flora, Černý Most, Skalka, Florenc, and Nádraží Veleslavín.

Another important factor is a few of these metro stations are touristic places that further means more exposure and adoption.

Bitcoin adoption growing at fast pace globally

BTC ATM are gaining a lot of popularity as more and more are being added all over the world. Despite Bitcoin price experiencing significant lows for the past few weeks, Bitcoin ATM are only rising.

According to the latest data, Bitcoin ATM have broken the 3,000 number milestone set in mid-May and reached about 3,125. At the rapid pace, this number is growing, about 6.15 installations are made every day.

Around the world, the United States has the highest number of Bitcoin ATMs in about 1965 locations. Canada has them in over 500 locations and Austria in close to 200 locations. UK, Spain, and Russia have BTC ATMs in about 134, 55 and almost 50 locations respectively.

Bitcoin (BTC) price is currently at $7,176 and the struggle keeps on going. However, with developments like Bitcoin ATM installations and its acceptance as payment surely is a good thing for Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market.
