DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Sept. 27, 2024Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has revealed key updates for World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2024, a global crypto trading competition. Bridging the gap between traders and builders in the crypto space, WSOT 2024 aims to unite traders, builders, and partners, showcasing how each participant’s contribution impacts the entire crypto ecosystem.

WSOT 2024 introduces decentralized exchange (DEX) trading for the first time to create a bridge between builders and traders from both decentralized and centralized environments.

Builders and ecosystem partners play vital roles in the progression of decentralized technology, while traders provide the market with the liquidity needed to fuel innovation. As one of the key highlights of WSOT 2024, for the first time, builders, traders, and partners will all be united to contribute to the entire ecosystem and participate in a fair and equitable global competition.

WSOT 2024, the world’s largest and longest-running crypto trading competition, features a prize pool of up to 10,000,000 USDT and luxury rewards such as Rolex watches, world travel tickets, and yacht.

Since its debut in 2020, Bybit’s World Series of Trading has become a global phenomenon, creating an inclusive and prosperous space for builders, traders, and ecosystem partners.

Bridging Communities Globally: WSOT 2024 will be Bybit’s first offering for traders to compete on both decentralized and centralized platforms, creating a bridge between crypto communities from DeFi and TradFi.

Upgraded Competition System: Bybit’s WSOT 2024 will feature a tiered weighting system to ensure the competition remains fair for all participants  Even if participants have resource advantages, this upgraded competition system guarantees that true trading skills win over resources. The competition will also feature UTA Subaccounts that allow participants to improve their rewards with one main account and up to four UTA Subaccounts, and the new ROI Reset Card, for traders that hit negative profit and PnL.

One Event, Global Perspective: WSOT 2024 completely eclipses previous competitions, set to feature more livestreams than ever before. Both participants and spectators will be able to benefit from insights from global partners, including builders, ecosystem partners, and KOLs to get a truly global perspective of the crypto space.

Unchained Access to over 1 million tokens via DEX Wave: WSOT 2024 introduces Bybit Web3’s DEX Pro, a ground-breaking feature that unlocks access to over 1 million decentralized tokens for participants, ranging from DeFi projects and GameFi assets to memecoins. With the involvement of more than 100 ecosystem partners like Yescoin, Bonk, Catizen, Navi Protocol, Blackcardcoin, and Character X, this year’s competition will be unlike any other.

“WSOT 2024 opens the door to a broader experience of the crypto world,” said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit. “With distinct offerings on our CEX and DEX we’re giving traders the tools to navigate both sides of the market and explore new possibilities. I’m excited to see how they’ll take this opportunity to challenge themselves and elevate their trading to the next level.”

Serving as a bridge between traders and builders, WSOT 2024 is prepared to become a showcase for the best talent in crypto and highlight the contribution each participant makes to the entire crypto ecosystem. In support of this ecosystem, Bybit, in collaboration with Immunefi and the Ethereum Foundation, will provide up to 75 ETH to support Ethereum’s first Attackathon to ensure the security and innovation in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the meeting of minds between traders and builders. The livestream, cohosted by Cointelegraph, promises an engaging session with exciting prizes up for grabs. Join us on Sept. 27 at 4 pm SGT, 12 pm Dubai Time, and 8 am UTC for this dynamic event!
