WBT Marks Fourth Anniversary with $15.95 Billion Market Capitalization and Growing Institutional Recognition
WhiteBIT Coin (WBT) is now four years old. The native coin of the WhiteBIT exchange, WBT’s market capitalization now stands close to $15.95 billion. CoinDesk data shows that the exchange’s crypto now ranks as one of the world’s top 10 cryptocurrencies.
Starting at Just $1.62, WBT is Now Among the Top 10 Cryptos
WBT had humble beginnings, entering the market in 2022 at just $1.62. Now that the token is four years old, its price has jumped north of 35 times and is now worth $54.34.
Its all-time high, however, happened in December 2025, when it reached $64.11, according to data gathered from CoinGecko. Over the past 12 months alone, WBT has surged by 19.2%.
Multiple market cycles have contributed to this price jump. Even during early 2023, when the crypto market was still reeling under the weight of the crypto winter, WhiteBIT continued to stand strong. There was no relaunch or any restructuring.
Expansion of Utility Across Four Years
When WhiteBIT entered the market, it was driven by a single purpose: providing more perks for users of the WhiteBIT exchange. Holders enjoyed many perks. The most popular among them was trading-fee discounts.
WhiteBIT developers later shifted gears. They launched Whitechain, which now plays a broader role within the WhiteBIT ecosystem. As its ecosystem token, WhiteBIT now provides even more benefits. The trading-fee discounts are still present. But now users also get passive income opportunities through staking. Referrals offer users the opportunity to contribute to WhiteBIT’s expansion while earning additional rewards. Early-moving opportunities are now accessible through launchpad activities.
The evolution isn’t limited to the chain and token alone. The WhiteBIT exchange, too, has gone through transformation. What was once a humble crypto exchange has now become a global digital asset ecosystem making waves on the institutional front.
Growing Recognition Across the Institutional Market
WBT token’s first entry into the institutional scene came when it was added to five S&P Dow Jones Indices cryptocurrency benchmarks, including the S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Market Index. With this inclusion came institutional-grade benchmarks for WBT. Its performance became trackable across the broad digital asset ecosystem.
In 2026, WBT’s full token supply was unlocked. This “four-year life” cycle includes a deflationary mechanism. 33% of WhiteBIT trading fees, and 5% of income gained through the WhiteBIT ecosystem’s other trading activities, are used to gradually remove WBT tokens from circulation. The goal here is to reduce the supply little by little until only 200 million WBT remain in circulation.
WhiteBIT token’s four-year journey shows how it transformed from being a mere exchange-focused asset to a crypto that has a broader suite of use cases. Its market presence is still expanding across various regions, and institutional-grade infrastructures are recognizing it as an asset worth paying attention to.
