NewsCrypto, an online cryptocurrency-based information platform has partnered with leading crypto security and consultancy firm, CipherBlade to bring security awareness to users in the digital currency ecosystem. Per a press release shared with Coingape, the partnership will help advance NewsCrypto’s crime-fighting agenda in the broader cryptospace.

The advent of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies came with a lot of innovations that are revolutionizing our world today. Through blockchain, we have solutions that directly compete with traditional service offerings, which all works to give freedom and financial equality to the common man. The world is celebrating these innovations, but the downside is quite glaring. The proliferation of crime!

The transition into a digital economy birthed a lot of cybercriminals who hacks and perpetuates phishing scams to defraud people. While blockchain technology brandishes a superior infrastructure in terms of security, cybercriminals have also evolved in their game. As a result, the rate of crime has not dwindled in consonance with the supposed blockchain security upgrade.

As one of the prominent crypto education sites, the NewsCrypto partnership with CipherBlade is aimed at providing the needed educational content and awareness for every player in the digital currency world. CipherBlade is renowned for investigating and tracking Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies in cybercrime cases and has recovered millions of dollars of stolen cryptocurrency. CipherBlade has the right technology to contribute to the campaign against organized crypto scams targeted at both individual investors and retail traders in general.

The Awareness to Cut Across Newbies and Professional Investors

Malicious actors are always evolving in their game. While they are known to target more prominent rich citizens, their hacking and phishing scams are not limited to high-profile investors alone. From exchanges to individual retail crypto holders, anyone could be targeted at any point in point.

The growth of the digital currency ecosystem has attracted a lot of new players in the past year. Many people are now more interested in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins, primarily for their potentials to return enough returns. Many enter the space with little knowledge of the inherent risks and how they could be swindled of their hard-earned wealth. This is one other aspect the NewsCrypto-CipherBlade partnership is billed to address.

“Our partnership with CipherBlade will be far-reaching, and one of the first things we’ll do together will be to prepare a whole segment of the NewsCrypto Academy focused on security in crypto,” the press release reads. “With content appropriate for both beginners and seasoned crypto veterans, we’ll explain everything you need to know on how different types of cybercrime work, how you can protect your hard-earned crypto, and, crucially, what steps you should take if you do fall victim to one of these ever more sophisticated attacks.”

The overall productivity of players in the digital currency ecosystem will be capped when the security of their data and assets is not compromised. With the NewsCrypto partnership with CipherBlade, the chances of knowing the tricks of malicious actors and how to avoid them will be increased.
