Revolut to Let Traders Use Claude, Gemini and Cursor for Crypto Trades
Highlights
- Revolut X now supports crypto trades through AI prompts.
- Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw and Cursor are supported by Revolut X.
- Revolut will delist USDT in Europe by Aug. 31 under MiCA rules.
Revolut has integrated its crypto exchange, Revolut X, with AI-powered third-party assistants, enabling its users to perform in-depth market analysis, review portfolios, receive alerts, and execute crypto trades using natural language communication while ensuring the final order is still in their hands.
Revolut X Adds AI Trading Tools
According to Revolut, it supports AI assistants such as Claude, Gemini, OpenClaw, and Cursor. Users from other platforms can also use the universal skill or command-line interface, which is published on GitHub.
The integration enables customers to request portfolio summaries, access up-to-the-minute market data, and even set their own price alerts using plain text messages. Users can also place market and limit orders and manage open positions without accessing the Revolut X app.
The company said no coding knowledge is needed to use the tools. Customers can describe a trading idea, such as a Bitcoin grid strategy over the past 90 days, and receive historical performance data, risk measures, and optimization results.
Leonid Bashlykov, head of product for crypto at Revolut, added:
“AI agents provide us with much faster workflows, smarter execution, and tighter integration with the tools we use daily to trade.”
Users Must Approve Every Order
Revolut, however, cautioned users to remain responsible for reviewing and approving all orders before execution. The company states that it is not responsible for the endorsement or guarantee of third-party AI tools.
Revolut also said it will not accept liability for losses, missed opportunities, or erroneous trades caused by AI errors. The warning takes responsibility on users to verify trading instructions before sending orders.
The company’s crypto services are provided by Revolut Digital Assets Europe Ltd., which the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission licenses as a crypto asset service provider under MiCA. Revolut said it has more than 75 million retail customers and more than 16 million crypto users.
Revolut X launched in May 2024 as a desktop-only exchange for UK retail customers. In November the exchange grew to 30 European markets and, in March 2025, launched a mobile app for users in the UK and EEA.
Agentic Trading Spreads Across Crypto Platforms
The move follows the integration of AI assistants by crypto companies into their trading processes. They enable users to link accounts, seek analysis, and make trades via conversational interfaces.
In April, Gemini rolled out agentic trading, allowing users to link Claude and ChatGPT to their accounts via the MCP open standard. According to the exchange, the rollout was the first of its kind on a regulated U.S. crypto exchange.
Liquid later launched Co-Invest, a platform for live trade execution powered by ChatGPT and Claude. In addition, Robinhood indicated that the agency stock-trading beta was followed by a crypto-focused agentic account rollout, which will now begin in the United States.
The AI launch coincides with the review of Revolut’s European crypto listings under the same regulatory framework. The company has announced that it will delist Tether’s USDT stablecoin by Aug. 31, citing regulatory changes under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework.
