Verge (XVG) has been officially listed on the world’s third-largest cryptocurrency exchange Huobi that has its prices take a hike in the currently red market. This step will further expand it into the Asian market as Verge plans its new wallet version, adoption, and other developments.

Verge goes green with Huobi listing

Today, the world’s 3rd largest cryptocurrency exchange as per the market cap of approximately $990 million (at the time of writing), Huobi announced the listing of Verge cryptocurrency.

According to the official announcement by Huobi,

“Verge (XVG) will be launched on Huobi Pro on July 31, 2018 (GMT+8). Deposits will be available from 14:30, July 31, 2018 (GMT+8). XVG/BTC and XVG/ETH trading will be available at New Zone from 15:00, August 1, 2018 (GMT+8). Withdrawals will be available from 14:30, August 3, 2018 (GMT+8).”

Huobi also took to Twitter to announce the news:

 

 

The news has the Verge prices take a hike of about 8 percent and join a few of the coins that are in the green today. However, the prices couldn’t sustain the rise and started dropping. At the time of writing, Verge (VXG) has been trading at $0.0247 while being up by 1.63 percent and running in green in the BTC market as well.

During this month, as bulls took charge, Verge prices also saw a change but went through constant ups and downs as shown in the one month chart below.

Huobi is an international digital currency trading platform headquartered in Singapore and having offices in Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and the US. Being focused in Asia for the most part, Huobi’s listing of Verge would now expand its market and make it global as shared by Verge currency in its tweet.

Verge [XVG] adoption & development

When it comes to adoption, Verge has been constantly making developments. The most recent ones being Blunt that deals in umbrellas and Boatsters that rents boats and yacht.

 

 

According to the latest development plan shared by Verge developer Marvin, the team is working on the new version of Verge wallet. They are currently focusing on reliability, user experience, open source, decentralized security, user experience, and community. The other developments will be coming in the form of an upgrade of the Codebase to Bitcoin v.0.13, adding RingCT (Ring Confidential Transactions), and the possibility to create mobile payment systems.

Verge is also planning to work with RSK, a smart contract platform along with a future “possibility for a new sidechain, which is taking off to deliver RSK as smart contracts platform for the Verge community.”
