Most crypto scalping bot roundups make the same mistake: they treat any bot that can place frequent trades as a scalping bot.

Instead, we took a different approach. We looked specifically for platforms that offer a dedicated crypto scalping bot or documented indicators, signals, or automation features that can be used to build a scalping strategy.

Based on this assessment, our recommendations for crypto scalping bots in August 2026 are:

  • Best overall: HaasOnline. Dedicated Scalper Bot, 10-second tick intervals, visual strategy editor, and HaasScript customization.
  • Best no-code option: Coinrule. Scalping templates, indicator- and time-based rules, risk controls, and paper testing.
  • Best for multi-exchange access: goodcryptoX. Broad CEX and perp DEX support with TradingView webhook automation.

But choosing a bot is only part of the equation. This guide breaks down how scalping bots work, the risks involved, and the costs that can determine whether a scalper actually makes money.

How we chose these scalping bots: Our methodology

We looked specifically for platforms that offer a dedicated crypto scalping bot or explicitly document scalping as a supported strategy.

Then, we reviewed the platforms’ official documentation, pricing pages, and supported-exchange lists to verify what each bot actually offers. Where a platform doesn’t have a dedicated scalping bot, we included it only when its documented indicators, AI tools, signals, or automation features can be used to build a scalping strategy.

We grouped our assessment into five criteria, each weighted according to its importance.

Criteria Weight (%) Why it matters
Scalping-specific features and testing 35 We assessed dedicated scalping bots and strategies, indicators, signals, automation tools, strategy flexibility, AI and scripting capabilities, supported scalping approaches, as well as backtesting, paper trading, and demo environments.
Trading costs, subscription pricing & value 25 We compared subscription costs, trading fees, and the overall value offered at each price point.
Exchange coverage 20 We assessed the number and range of supported exchanges, with particular attention to access to liquid markets and low-fee trading venues.
Execution & usability 10 We looked at execution models, TradingView and webhook support, order controls, latency considerations, and ease of setting up a scalping bot.
Security 10 We assessed API permissions, custody model, authentication and security controls, as well as past security incidents and the platform’s response to them.

Our scores at a glance

Based on our methodology and evaluation categories above, here’s how much each scalping bot scored and how we calculated the final rating.

The best crypto scalping bots reviewed

HaasOnline

HaasOnline scalping bot

Best for traders comfortable with coding and who want a dedicated scalping bot

HaasOnline scalping bot follows a simple cycle: it enters when the configured buy threshold is reached, exits at the take-profit threshold, then waits for the next buy opportunity. The Haas scalping bot is also editable via HaasOnline’s visual editor, and more advanced users can modify its underlying HaasScript.

Execution model HaasScript
Supported exchanges 21 exchanges, including Binance, Bitget, BitMEX, OKX
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub from $19.99/mo ($11.99/mo annual billing)
Standout feature Dedicated Scalper Bot that can be modified in the visual editor or HaasScript

Pros and Cons

  • HaasOnline users get a dedicated Scalper Bot rather than having to adapt a DCA, grid, or general-purpose bot.
  • The Scalper Bot can be modified through the visual editor, while advanced users can customize the strategy with HaasScript.
  • HaasOnline provides 10-second tick intervals on its cloud plans, giving scalping strategies more frequent market updates.
  • The built-in Scalper Bot uses a simple price-threshold strategy, so traders need to customize the HaasScript if they want more sophisticated entry logic.
  • Advanced customization requires coding knowledge.

goodcryptoX scalping bot

Best for traders who want to scalp across CEXs and DEXs from one platform

goodcryptoX’s scalping bot offers three approaches to short-term trading: price-range scalping with Grid Bots, volatility scalping with DCA Bots, and custom signal-based scalping through TradingView webhooks. The platform also supports advanced order types and lets users automate these strategies across centralized exchanges and perpetual DEXs.

Execution model Grid, DCA and TradingView webhook-based
Supported exchanges 34 exchanges, including Binance, Coinbase, OKX, KuCoin, and Kraken
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub starts from $12.99/mo ($8.33/mo annual billing) PLUS plan
Standout feature CEX and DEX scalping

Pros and Cons

  • Traders can choose between Grid, DCA, and TradingView webhook strategies for scalping.
  • Automate TradingView indicators and custom strategies, with alerts able to trigger or cancel orders and bots.
  • Scalp across CEXs and perpetual DEXs, including through a non-custodial Hyperliquid integration.
  • DEX trading introduces additional costs, including swap fees and blockchain gas fees.
  • TradingView automation requires an external TradingView setup for custom TradingView strategies and alerts.

WunderTrading scalping bot

Best for TradingView scalping automation

WunderTrading’s scalper offers three ways to automate short-term strategies: TradingView signals, DCA entries, and grid trading. You can send TradingView webhook alerts to WunderTrading for execution, build DCA-based scalping setups with safety orders, or use grid bots to repeatedly trade within a defined range. The platform also provides take-profit, stop-loss, trailing stop, breakeven, and position-sizing controls.

Execution model TradingView/webhook, DCA and Grid Bot-based
Supported exchanges 18 exchanges, including OKX, Bitget, Gate, Kraken, and Hyperliquid
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub starts from a free plan, then a $20/mo Basic plan
Standout feature TradingView webhook execution

Pros and Cons

  • Send TradingView alerts directly to WunderTrading for automated execution, including custom entries, exits, take-profit, stop-loss, and position sizing.
  • Use trailing stops, breakeven stops, multiple take-profits, and other risk controls for short-term positions.
  • Paper trade scalping strategies before committing real funds.
  • TradingView automation requires an external TradingView setup, adding another tool to the workflow for traders
3Commas

3Commas scalping bot

Best for intermediate to advanced traders who already have a short-term strategy

3Commas’ scalping page highlights DCA, Signal, and Grid Bots as the underlying model. DCA Bots use built-in indicators such as RSI, Bollinger Bands, and moving averages on 3–5-minute timeframes, while Signal Bots receive custom TradingView strategies via webhooks. 3Commas explicitly states that it does not provide a fully pre-configured scalping bot, so users need to build their own strategy.

Execution model DCA, Signal and Grid Bots
Supported exchanges 15+ exchanges, including Binance, Hyperliquid, Bybit, OKX
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub from $20/month ($15/mo annual billing)
Standout feature Users can build short-term strategies with DCA, Signal, or Grid Bots and connect external TradingView logic through webhooks.

Pros and Cons

  • Traders can use built-in indicators or bring their own TradingView/Pine Script strategy through Signal Bots.
  • 3Commas offers tight risk controls, including take-profit, stop-loss, and trailing options.
  • 3Commas offers a built-in backtesting tool for DCA strategies before deployment.
  • No ready-made scalping bot.
  • Not every supported exchange offers every bot, indicator, or trading function. Check before setting up a scalping strategy.
  • Subscription costs can be significant for small-scale accounts.

Gainium scalping bot

Best for Indicator-driven scalping strategies

For strategy development, Gainium’s scalping bot uses RSI, Bollinger Bands, moving averages, volume oscillators, and trend detectors to identify entry and exit points. It combines specialized scalping indicators, range trading, a real-time market screener, Grid and Combo bots, and unlimited backtesting and paper trading.

Execution model Grid, DCA and Combo Bot-based
Supported exchanges 8 exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, OKX
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub plans start from $15/mo ($12/mo annual billing)
Standout feature Unlimited free backtesting and specialized scalping indicators

Pros and Cons

  • The real-time market screener can filter for short-term opportunities and trigger custom alerts.
  • Traders get specialized scalping indicators alongside standard tools such as RSI, Bollinger Bands, and moving averages.
  • You can choose to self-host the open-source Community Edition, giving you greater control over the software and your API keys.
  • Scalping is built around Grid, DCA, and Combo Bots rather than a standalone scalper engine, so traders need to configure each of these bot types for their strategy.
  • The credit-based pricing can get really expensive, as complex scalping setups quickly consume credits, adding costs that eat into the small profit margins of scalping.
altrady

Altrady scalping bot

Best for Signal-based scalping

Altrady’s strength isn’t a dedicated scalping bot. It’s the combination of real-time market scanning, fast order execution, and automated trading tools. Its Quick Scanner is specifically designed for day trading and scalping, identifying rapid price movements and volume spikes across connected exchanges. Traders can then use Signal Bots to automate external signals or Grid Bots to capture repeated price movements within a range.

Execution model Signal and Grid Bots
Supported exchanges 19 exchanges, including Hyperliquid, Gate.io, KuCoin, OKX
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub plans start from $32/mo ($23/mo annual billing)
Standout feature Real-time market scanners with 100+ technical indicators

Pros and Cons

  • Traders can use the Quick Scanner to identify rapid price movements and volume spikes across markets in real time.
  • The platform also combines real-time charts, Level 2 data, and automated trading tools in the same interface, which is useful for short-term traders.
  • Altrady's TA Scanner supports custom AND/OR rules and 100+ indicators, including configurable SMA/EMA periods, RSI, Stochastic, and Bollinger Bands.
  • No dedicated scalping bot. Traders must configure Signal or Grid Bots.
  • Altrady does not currently provide a dedicated historical backtester for Signal Bot.
Coinrule

Coinrule scalping bot

Best for Traders who want no-code rule-based automation

Coinrule’s scalper offers rule-based automation with precise entry and exit triggers, timeouts, indicator signals, time filters, and risk controls such as daily loss limits and maximum open positions. Traders can build these rules without coding, while ready-made scalping templates provide a starting point for short-term strategies.

Execution model Rule-based
Supported exchanges 20+ exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, OKX, Kraken, and KuCoin
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub starts from a free plan, then $39.99/mo investor plan
Standout feature Visual rule builder for combining multiple conditions and risk controls

Pros and Cons

  • Build scalping rules using price movements, technical indicators, and time filters without coding.
  • Coinrule offers ready-made scalping templates, including RSI-based and breakout scalping strategies. You can add cooldowns, maximum open positions, daily loss limits, and exposure caps to control rapid-fire strategies.
  • Traders can paper-test rules to see how often signals trigger and how exits behave before switching to live trading.
  • Execution speed varies by plan. Ultra-fast execution speeds are reserved for the Pro plan only, which costs $995/month ($749/mo with annual billing).
  • Coinrule's engine evaluates indicator conditions at candle close, rather than continuously from real-time indicator values.
Cryptohopper

Cryptohopper scalping bot

Best for AI-assisted scalping

Cryptohopper doesn’t have a dedicated scalping bot, but it gives traders the strategy-building tools needed to create one. Its Strategy Designer lets you combine technical indicators such as RSI, Williams %R oscillator, EMA, MESA, and Parabolic SAR into custom buy and sell conditions. Traders can also train an AI specifically for scalping and combine multiple strategies to generate signals.

Execution model Strategy Designer and TradingView alerts
Supported exchanges 11 exchanges, including OKX, BingX, BitMart, HTX
Fees / subscription cost No trading fee; sub plans start from $29/mo ($24.16/mo annual billing)
Standout feature AI Strategy Designer with a dedicated AI scalping strategy

Pros and Cons

  • Traders can combine various technical indicators to build their own scalping strategy.
  • Use TradingView alerts to trigger entries and exits, including within an AI strategy.
  • The Hero plan checks strategies every 2 minutes, while position management runs more frequently, including every 16 seconds for real-money positions.
  • Strategy checking is limited to 2 minutes even on Hero, making Cryptohopper less suitable for strategies that depend on sub-minute signal evaluation.
  • The AI Strategy Designer requires Hero, which makes Cryptohopper's most advanced automated strategy-building tools unavailable on lower plans.

What is a crypto scalping bot, and how does it work?

A crypto scalper bot executes frequent, short-term trades, often reaching dozens or hundreds per day, targeting small price fluctuations. The difference from a regular trading bot is the speed and objective. A scalping bot holds positions for seconds or minutes and repeats the process many times.

Crypto scalping bots generally fall into four types.

  • Manual terminal: Provides a fast trading interface with tools such as one-click orders, hotkeys, and predefined TP/SL levels. However, the trader still decides when to enter and exit.
  • Interval automation: Automatically checks the market at predefined intervals and executes trades when the configured conditions are met.
  • Signal-based: Receives signals from TradingView, indicators, external systems, or other signal providers and automatically executes the corresponding trades.
  • Scripted HFT: Uses custom code or scripts to process market data and execute orders with highly specific logic and minimal latency.

Why fees and latency decide scalping profitability

Fees and execution speed determine whether a scalping strategy makes money. Scalpers target tiny price movements, so trading fees can consume much of each trade’s profit. Likewise, latency can cause the bot to enter or exit after the intended price has moved, increasing slippage and turning a profit into a loss.

To see how much fees alone can change the outcome, let’s consider a hypothetical $100,000 scalping strategy making 20 trades per day.

Per TradingStats, a scalper’s typical win rate is between 55% and 70%. So, we assume a 65% conservative win rate, which equals 13 winning trades and 7 losing trades. TP (take profit) is set at 0.3%, and stop-loss is 0.1%.

We then apply the maker fees of three popular exchanges: 0% on Bitfinex, 0.08% on OKX, and 0.10% on Binance. The calculation excludes slippage, spreads, and other costs. Hence, it isolates the effect of trading fees.

With Binance, the strategy loses $800 in a single day; with OKX, the same strategy only breaks even, even though the maker-fee difference between Binance and OKX is just 0.02 percentage points. With Bitfinex’s 0% maker fee, the strategy generates $3,200 in a day.

At 20 trading days per month, that amounts to −$16,000 on Binance, $0 on OKX, and +$64,000 on Bitfinex.

Assume we use a 3Commas Pro subscription to carry out this scalp, at $50/month, the difference becomes: −$16,050 on Binance, −$50 on OKX, and +$63,950 on Bitfinex.

The subscription barely moves the result because it is a fixed monthly cost. This illustrates why exchange fees matter far more than the bot’s subscription cost.

Best platform for scalping crypto by fees

As of August 14, 2026, Bitfinex offers the lowest verified trading fees among the exchanges supported by the scalping platforms we reviewed, at 0% maker and 0% taker fees. For bot subscription costs, Coinrule and WunderTrading offer free plans, although they come with feature or usage limits. Gainium follows at $15/month on its monthly billing plan.

Do crypto scalping bots actually work after fees?

They can if the strategy makes enough from its winning trades to cover fees, spreads, slippage, and losses. But a profitable trade is never guaranteed because scalping targets are so small that maker/taker fees can consume a meaningful share of each winning trade.

That is why a high win rate alone isn’t enough.

Our earlier $100,000 example illustrates the point: the same 0.3% take-profit/0.1% stop-loss setup produced very different results depending on exchange fees. That doesn’t mean scalping bots don’t work; it means profitability depends on having a genuine trading edge that remains positive after fees, slippage, and execution costs.

Note: Treat this as educational information, not financial advice. Assess your risk tolerance and consider speaking with a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

VPS and latency: Do you need one for scalping bots?

A virtual private server (VPS) is a remote computer that runs your trading bot 24/7, even when your personal computer is switched off. Meanwhile, latency is the time it takes for data and orders to travel between the bot and the exchange. A VPS can reduce latency by allowing the bot to run on a server closer to the exchange, which matters when scalping small price movements.

However, you don’t necessarily need a VPS for scalping. Cloud-based scalping bots run on the provider’s infrastructure, so there’s no need to host them yourself. Today, a VPS is mainly useful when you want to self-host a bot, such as HaasOnline or Gainium, or when you need greater control over a bot’s execution environment. Exchange-native bots don’t need a VPS because they run directly on the exchange’s infrastructure.

Risks of crypto scalping bots

Crypto scalping bots can execute trades faster and more consistently than humans, but the high number of trades and small profit targets can amplify risks such as:

  • Fee drag: Small profit targets can be quickly consumed by trading fees. In our earlier example, the same strategy generated $3,200 in daily profit on Bitfinex but an $800 daily loss on Binance solely because of the difference in maker fees.
  • Overtrading: A bot can enter too many marginal setups, allowing small losses and fees to accumulate.
  • API rate limit ban: Frequent requests in a short period can hit an exchange’s API limits, leading to a ban or temporary restriction.
  • Misconfiguration: Incorrect position sizes and bot settings can cause the bot to enter unintended trades or take on more risk than planned.
  • Market noise: Short-term price fluctuations can trigger false signals and lead to losing trades before the expected move develops.
  • Latency and slippage: Delays between detecting a setup and executing an order can result in worse-than-expected prices.
  • Exchange outages: Exchange or API disruptions can prevent the bot from opening or closing positions as intended.
  • Infrastructure failures: Self-hosted bots can stop trading because of server, internet, or software failures.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are crypto scalping bots profitable?

They can be, but scalping is the hardest style to automate profitably because trading fees eat many small gains. Success depends on low fees, fast execution, and a tested edge. For many retail traders, scalping bots underperform after fees. No bot guarantees profit.

2. What is the best platform for scalping crypto?

For scalping crypto, the best platform is HaasOnline. It has a dedicated Scalper Bot with 10-second tick intervals, configurable take-profit and stop-loss levels, and a low subscription fee. But the bot is only half of the equation: the exchange you connect it to determines whether those small scalping gains survive trading fees.

3. Do I need a VPS for a crypto scalping bot?

If the bot is cloud-hosted (e.g., Coinrule or 3Commas) or exchange-native, you don't need a VPS. It's mainly useful when you're self-hosting the bot, such as with HaasOnline, or when you want greater control over the bot's execution environment.

4. Is there a free crypto scalping bot?

Yes. Gainium and Coinrule both offer free crypto bot plans. Gainium also offers a free, self-hosted Community Edition that gives you more control over your bot environment and the exchanges it supports. Verified August 2026.

5. Are crypto scalping bots legal?

Yes, automated scalping is legal on most exchanges, but some venues limit very high-frequency API activity or specific strategies. Check the exchange's API terms and rate limits, and comply with local regulations.

6. What is the fastest crypto scalping bot?

Speed depends on the model: exchange-native bots avoid API round-trips, scripted HFT tools like HaasOnline allow sub-minute custom logic, and Cryptohopper automates down to a two-minute interval on its top tier. Manual terminals like 3Commas SmartTrade are as fast as the trader.
