Crypto exchange aggregator BestChange has won Best Crypto Exchange Aggregator at the Global Onchain Awards.

BestChange is best described as a directory of vetted exchange services. It monitors their rates, their reserve levels, and collects authentic user reviews so users can find where to buy or sell crypto, fiat and e-currency.

Nearly Two Decades of Comparing Rates

BestChange came into the market in a pre-Bitcoin period: 2007. During its launch, it had one job: monitoring electronic currency rates.

Registered in Dubai under Agretis Software Design LLC, BestChange has evolved into a hub of nearly 478 exchange services, tracking over a million exchange rates. At the time of writing, the currency reserves in all listed exchange services exceed $96.8 million.

The aggregator service is free for end users. Fees charged by individual exchange services are already included in the exchange rates listed on BestChange. The only additional fees users may pay are third-party charges from payment systems, if they choose an exchange route that involves such a third party.

How BestChange Finds the Best Rate

The exchange aggregator queries hundreds of exchange services to capture the latest changes, updating the rates every 5 to 8 seconds.

Afterwards, a standard user flow follows. Users pick the currency that they have and the one they want to exchange it for. BestChange offers a list of exchange services that support that swap in response, placing the exchange service that provides the best rate at the top by default. If users know how much they want to exchange and type that amount into the calculator, it then shows the exact amount they will receive after conversion.

Users can then click the offer and complete the exchange on the exchange service’s own website.

To ensure that users have enough information before picking an exchange service, BestChange displays reviews and reserve levels alongside rates.

A New BestChange for a New Era

BestChange is currently undergoing a major transformation, having launched a new version of its website, BestChange.biz. As soon as users open BestChange.com, they can see an invite to check out the new platform.

With this update, users can expect expanded functionality and improved usability. The new version of the platform features a smart calculator as its centerpiece, along with multistage exchange, which finds complex paths through transit currencies if no direct exchange route exists. Users can then compare these paths to see which one delivers the best deal.

The new addition also features account creation, which, according to BestChange, is to improve user experience by allowing to save favorite exchange services, exchange pairs, and other settings for future access, as well as enhance communication between users, exchange services and BestChange’s administration.

Multi-language support is available on the new platform, and with a new Help & Wiki section, users get to explore the platform’s inner mechanisms and processes.

Overall, the new platform brings a modern design and expanded features. One of BestChange’s core perks, AML checks that flag high-risk crypto addresses, will soon be carried over to the new platform.

Bridging Both TradFi and Onchain

BestChange’s listings act as a bridge that brings TradFi infrastructure closer to onchain finance, especially since it helps users find ways to move between crypto and everyday rails such as bank cards, cash and bank transfers.

The exchange aggregator has a history of 19 years. It launched the year before Bitcoin’s white paper first emerged, making BestChange a significant element in the blockchain space.

As the number of exchange services is rising, there should be a neutral place that lets users assess and pick among them properly. BestChange offers that neutral zone.
