Bitroot, a high-performance, low-latency Layer-1 built for AI and machine-economy applications, is showcasing its parallel-EVM infrastructure at Bitcoin Asia 2026 (Aug 27–28, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre), where the project’s Chief Strategy Officer joins a conference panel and Bitroot co-hosts an evening networking event for builders and investors.

The appearance caps a three-month sprint of technical and ecosystem milestones. In May, Bitroot completed a core re-architecture; migrating its engine from Go to Rust and introducing parallel Merkle verification, a lock-free mempool, and a five-stage execution pipeline: lifting throughput to 100,000+ TPS with 0.3-second finality. Its public testnet has since surpassed 300,000 addresses, with a native DEX, bridge, explorer, and faucet all live.

Network economics have followed. Bitroot has activated Node Staking and Liquid Staking (LSD), and total staked BRT has passed 100 million through its Task Platform 2.0, which rewards community contribution via staking, teams, and referrals. The project also closed an Africa Ecosystem Round at $2 per BRT and held its first in-person community meetup in Kenya, underscoring a global expansion strategy targeting AI infrastructure, RWA, and Physical AI.

Together, these advances move Bitroot toward a Release Candidate and mainnet launch; positioning the network as base-layer infrastructure for the emerging machine economy, where AI agents and real-world applications demand throughput and latency general-purpose chains cannot deliver.

“AI and machine-economy applications will generate transaction volumes today’s chains simply can’t absorb. We rebuilt Bitroot from the core to meet that reality and bringing it to Bitcoin Asia lets us show builders across Asia what a purpose-built, high-performance L1 actually runs like.” — Jerry Jiang, Chief Strategy Officer, Bitroot

Bitroot’s team is meeting partners, developers, and investors throughout Bitcoin Asia and at its co-hosted event, “TO THE MOON,” on August 28 in Central, Hong Kong.
