Shiba Inu Hardware Wallets to be Delivered on this Date, SHIB Price Reacts
The Shiba Inu community is enthralled with a recent revelation that the memecoin’s long awaited hardware wallet is set to be delivered to users who placed early orders in just a matter of weeks.
The Latest Shiba Inu Wallet Update
The Shiba Inu wallet is the brainchild of the memecoin and Tangem, the next-generation hardware wallet that can store all your crypto assets in a simple and secure way. Following months of developmental efforts, users who preordered the hardware back in May have started receiving updates detailing the timeline the device will be delivered.
One of the email updates shared by a Shiba Inu community member shows the wallets are slated to be delivered by July 24. According to the update, the first batch of the wallets are enroute to Tangem’s warehouse in Hong Kong.
The hardware wallet marks another avenue by which Shiba Inu is aiming to deepen its foothold as a protocol dedicated to infrastructural growth and utility. Should the products being expected work as anticipated, Shiba Inu will now become the first memecoin to launch a dedicated wallet for its growing Shibarium ecosystem, a feat most full blown layer-1 blockchains are yet to achieve.
Shiba Inu also created a pace for its peers to catch when it announced plans to launch Shibarium in a bid to support the proliferation of functional decentralized applications and smart contracts. The anticipated Tangem wallet will help boost the security and storage capabilities of the tokens associated with the memecoin including BONE and LEASH amongst others.
Impact on Shiba Inu Price
The SHIB community is notably not pricing in the news as expected riding on the role the hardware wallet will play in the ecosystem. At the time of writing, the protocol was changing hands at a price of $0.000007729, up by 2.04% over the past 24 hours and by 1.72% over the past 24 hours.
