  • Cardano open interest rises to $487.18 million despite weaker volumes.

The developers of the Leios are aiming to release a mainnet-ready release candidate by the end of 2026. A rebound above $0.30 remains uncertain following the ADA price daily and weekly declines.

Cardano Leios Release Candidate Reaches 52% Completion

Cardano’s Ouroboros Leios release candidate has reached 52% completion, according to an update shared by Cardanians. A few development objectives were completed and 28 updates were reported on the post during the last week.

The improvement proposal, technical specification, 1,000 TPS showcase, and Leios testnet were among these. The dashboard indicates that the confidence testing was at 45% and that the hard fork objective had 0% completed.

Leios will boost the capacity of transactions on Cardano while maintaining its security with the introduction of more blocks and committee validation. To be ready for the deployment on the mainnet, a developer will need to do additional testing and integration.

Activations do also require audits, ecosystem coordination and governance approval. No confirmation of a launch date was given, and no reason was offered as to why the 28 weekly updates were made.

Cardano Price Outlook: Can Cardano Rebound Toward $0.30?

The ADA price traded at $0.2199 on October 17, as Cardano tested the $0.22 area.

The MACD line was at -0.0042, and a bit under its -0.0040 signal line, and the histogram was at -0.0002. Both lines were below zero, which confirms a bearish reading without determining the extent to which the price would fall.

The Chaikin Money Flow indicator also stood at positive value of 0.14, indicating that there was selling pressure as compared to buying pressure.

The $0.22 mark has become the immediate pivot, and the continued trading under the mark poses greater downside risk. Further weakness would put a focus on the $0.21. In case of such a support, the psychological $0.20 level is a potential second target.

On the positive, the immediate outlook would be improved with the reclaiming of $0.22, leaving the first goal of recovery at $0.23. A four-hour high of over $0.23 may open a trade to the next resistance of $0.25, which is noted on the chart. The Cardano price outlook for long term could target $0.30 ahead of Leios Mainnet release candidate.
