What’s Next for Pi Network?
Highlights
- PI Network Upgrades did not help to restore long-term purchasing.
- The token unlocks keep on rising supply and bearish price pressure.
- PI coin is aiming at $0.10 with critical support levels.
Pi Network price hovered near $0.08295 after gaining 1% in 24 hours. However, PI remains 30% lower over the past month as weak demand and token unlocks pressure prices. The wider crypto market increased 1.24% to $2.18 trillion, which was aided by regulatory advancement and institutional action.
Bitcoin price hovered over $63,000, and Ethereum and XRP traded around $1,850 and $1.07, respectively. Despite the market recovery, PI attracted limited buying interest ahead of a network deadline.
PI is almost 97% below its February 2025 peak of $2.98. The token is also 17% above its July 14 low of $0.07072. Its technical framework displays relaxing bearish actions, yet consumers have failed to employ a recovery. The $0.07 mark is a key support, and the first significant resistance is at $0.10.
Pi Network Begins Protocol 26 Rollout Ahead of August 11 Deadline
The Pi Core Team has started deploying Stellar Protocol version 26 across the Pi Network Mainnet. To remain connected to the network, node operators have until August 11 to update. Operators who miss the deadline could lose their Mainnet connection until their software is updated.
The rollout will be the initial of two Mainnet upgrades that are scheduled by the development team. The announcement, however, had a relatively small impact on the price and could not give a new impetus to retail speculations. The low reaction indicates that traders are still concentrated on supply condition instead of technical development.
The Pi Mainnet is upgrading to Protocol 26. Deadline: Aug. 11.
All Mainnet node operators must complete the upgrade before the deadline to remain connected to the network. Details here: https://t.co/9VehO7hhj1
Protocol 26 is a major milestone ahead of the final planned upgrade,…
— Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) July 29, 2026
In 2026, Pi Network has launched ecosystem products. These include Pi2Day SoloHost, Pi Sign-in, PiVerify, Protocol v26.1, and the SLICE Launchpad distribution. However, such releases have failed to reverse the overall decline of the token.
Accelerating PI Token Unlocks Add Further Selling Pressure
August will issue approximately 127.96 million PI, which is approximately worth in the current price of 10.56 million. Larger monthly unlocks are scheduled through November, increasing the amount of available tokens. The unlock value may increase to 12.30 million in November as compared to 6.33 million in June.

Approximately 1.705 billion PI tokens can be circulated within the next 12 months. The market price of that supply is about $140.7 million. Further releases may restrain recovery efforts unless there is an increase in demand to take up more circulation.
Is Pi Network Price Headed for $0.10 or Another Sharp Decline?
At the time of writing, the Pi coin price was around $0.0823, falling by 0.7% in the last four hours. The token continues to be strained following the inability to sustain recent gains.
The MACD line has crossed below the signal line, while the histogram remains in negative territory. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at approximately 41, less than the neutral 50 level.
If Pi network long-term prediction holds above the $0.0720 support, buyers could attempt another move toward $0.09. Any breakout beyond that could clear the way to $0.10, and then the big resistance of $0.11.

However, losing the $0.0720 support would strengthen the bearish outlook. In that scenario, Pi might fall to $0.0680, and a bigger fall might occur at about $0.06 in case of increased selling pressure.
