Pi Network Price Prediction as Protocol 28 Testnet Upgrade Sets Stage for October Mainnet Launch
Highlights
- Pi Network Price rises seven percent weekly, testing $0.090 resistance.
- Protocol 28 enters Testnet before its planned October Mainnet upgrade.
- KYC updates advance 417,000 users; 497,000 await separate balance fixes.
Pi Network price hovered at $0.0893 on September 25, extending its seven-day gain to 7%. The token rose roughly 2.7% in 24 hours as traders tracked another network upgrade and changes to identity checks.
Bitcoin price traded near $83,600, Ethereum near $2,690, and XRP price around $1.58. The overall crypto market climbed 1.2% to about $2.99 trillion, giving smaller tokens a firmer backdrop.
Protocol 28 Testnet Upgrade Puts October Rollout in Focus
Protocol 28 has entered Pi Network’s Testnet following the Mainnet rollout of Protocol 27, according to community upgrade reports. The changes aim to reduce transaction-data delays, support grouped smart-contract upgrades, and improve how applications update stored information. Node operators have been told to upgrade by October 13, ahead of a planned October 16 Mainnet activation.
Those dates remain targets, and successful Testnet checks will matter before the upgrade reaches the live network. The October event concerns a protocol upgrade; Pi’s Mainnet is already operating.

For PI, a sustained move above $0.090 could put this week’s $0.0945 area back in view. A slip below $0.085 would weaken the recent recovery and return attention to the seven-day low near $0.083. These are nearby trading levels, not assured outcomes of the software release.
KYC Upgrades Unblock More Pi Network Users
Pi Network said its latest verification changes cleared a duplicate-account flag affecting more than 417,000 previously blocked users. Those eligible users can resume KYC, although they must still satisfy any remaining checks.
A separate fix is intended to help about 497,000 users unable to claim migrated balances. Pi attributed that problem to insufficient wallet funds for network fees on accounts created through Fast-Track.
It also adjusted video-processing systems and broadened liveness-check access for older phones. Selected users can try palm-print verification, while affected applicants can resubmit missing details. Wider access could support network activity, but it does not establish a direct cause for PI’s price gains.
Could Pi Network Price Reach $0.10 if Momentum Improves?
The Pi Coin price stood at $0.08904 on September 25. The Pi Network price had rebounded from a mid-month low near $0.082 but was struggling to hold above $0.090
A sustained four-hour close above $0.090 could bring $0.095 back into view. That level marked an earlier resistance area. If future Pi Coin outlook clears it, the chart’s next marked target is $0.100.
The relative strength index stood at 61. That suggests improving momentum, though the reading remains below the usual overbought threshold.
The MACD line remained slightly below its signal line, with both readings near zero. That gap leaves the rebound without clear momentum confirmation.

If Pi Network price fails to hold $0.090, recent support near $0.087 becomes the first downside level. A break below it could expose $0.085, followed by the mid-month low near $0.082.
