Highlights
- Ripple has made a strategic investment in Notabene with the amount undisclosed.
- The RLUSD stablecoin will be integrated into Notabene Flow.
- Both firms will also explore pre-transaction authorization for Ripple Payments.
Crypto firm Ripple has made a strategic investment in Notabene, which operates the largest network for regulated on-chain transactions. Notabene will also integrate the RLUSD stablecoin into its infrastructure to boost the stablecoin’s utility.
Ripple Makes Strategic Investment In Notabene
In a press release, Notabene announced that it had received a strategic investment from Ripple, without disclosing the amount. The firm added that alongside the investment, it will collaborate with Ripple to expand enterprise stablecoin payments by integrating the RLUSD stablecoin into Notabene Flow, the firm’s B2B stablecoin payments platform.
Furthermore, both firms will explore how trusted payment authorization can complement Ripple payments. Notabene also highlighted how its institutional network facilitates over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume.
“The partnership is set to accelerate adoption of compliant stablecoin payments while creating a pathway for RLUSD to be integrated across one of the world’s largest institutional payment networks for digital assets,” the firm said.
This move comes as more institutions continue to adopt stablecoin payments following the GENIUS Act’s passage. Ripple’s RLUSD has also continued to gain greater adoption with key integrations. The stablecoin has also received a boost in interest as BNY Mellon’s plans a 24/7 settlement system for the U.S. Treasury market
Notabene’s Role In Enterprise Adoption
Jack McDonald, SVP of Stablecoin at Ripple, noted that Notabene’s network addresses one of the fundamental barriers to enterprise adoption. “Together we’re helping build the compliant infrastructure institutions need to move value at global scale while expanding the utility of RLUSD,” he added.
Notabene Co-Founder and CEO Pelle Braendgaard said that institutions are stuck on how to use stablecoins within the context of their existing business. He added that they need to know who is on the other side, what the transaction is for, and how to authorize payments without adding friction.
“That is what Notabene and its network of regulated institutions solve. Paired with an enterprise-ready stablecoin like RLUSD and Ripple’s global payments reach, it turns compliant stablecoin payments from a pilot into a real growth engine that reaches more counterparties and moves more volume, faster,” Braendgaard said.
