Can AI Updates and Testnet Progress Drive Pi Network Price Above $0.10?

Highlights

  • Pi Network expands AI utility through OpenClaw and Atlassian integration.
  • Reported testnet escrow activity highlights progress toward practical blockchain applications.
  • Pi Network price needs stronger momentum to break above $0.10.

Pi Network Price stood at $0.08910 on August 28, 2026, down 2.23% across the displayed four-hour chart.

The crypto market is down -1.99% to $2.62T in 24h, with Bitcoin price hovered below $78k and ETH hovering below $2,500.

The Pi coin price remained below $0.090 as new AI applications and testnet developments drew attention to its ecosystem. However, technical indicators showed weakening momentum, leaving a recovery toward $0.10 dependent on stronger market demand.

Pi Network Expands AI Utility With New SoloHost Apps

Pi highlighted OpenClaw and Atlassian MCP Server on August 27, expanding SoloHost applications available through Pi Desktop. They both came with Node 0.6.2, which provided node operators with alternatives to blockchain transactions support.

OpenClaw is locally run and can use local AI models or external services, such as ChatGPT and Claude. It retains its memory on a computer of the user, but the requests to its models are still processed by cloud providers.

SoloHost puts the agent in a container where default access to files and system resources is restricted to unrelated files and resources. Another way that Pi Desktop eases the installation is by lessening the requirements of manual server configuration and Docker setup. SoloHost is still in a beta and users have to evaluate single applications individually.

Atlassian MCP Server is used to bridge compatible AI tools with Jira with a server that runs on the computer of the user. The team claimed that it could reach over 420,000 node operators in its ecosystem by these applications.

On its own, App Studio price adjusted August 24 to reflect underlying AI cost with no markup. Designers of applications that are eligible to be used can maintain subsidies in the new pricing model.

Pi Network Testnet Shows Smart Contract and Escrow Activity

August 27, visible BNPi booking application operations within Pi testnet wallets. Functions allegedly took over more than 52 Test-Pi out of escrow.

The booking system keeps the funds until the guest checks-in after which the funds are automatically paid to the hosts under specified conditions. Contests are governed by predetermined release guidelines, even though the testnet action does not set a similar functionality on Mainnet.

Protocol 27 also brings more relaxed smart contract authorization in the wake of the completion of Protocol 26 on the Mainnet. The team aims at that upgrade on September 15, and Open Network was released in February 2025.

Changes to the interface of testnets with decentralized exchanges and automated market makers were also reported in community posts.

Pi Network Price Prediction: Will Pi Coin Hit $0.10 Soon?

Future Pi coin outlook needs to recover $0.090 before testing $0.095, approximately 6.6% above the quoted price. A sustained action through that resistance would have taken us into the realm of $0.10, which would present a future potential upside of $0.12.

Additional gains are aimed at touching the levels of $0.110, but present momentum indicators provide few assurances of a looming breakout. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stood at 44.00, which is lower than the neutral of 50.
